My advice for someone who is facing a challenge they feel is insurmountable is to dig deep inside of you and identify your purpose in life. Once you connect your mindset on something that you want to accomplish or eventually overcome you will then feel important and have more confidence in surpassing any hardships that come your way. Standing strong on your faith, rewarding yourself for every ounce of growth you endure and accepting the reality of not controlling what’s behind you is a great start to facing any challenges.

My advice for those going towards their dreams who come across challenges, is to never give up. I have had multiple moments in my life where I thought I wasn’t good enough or my business was not worth it. I went into a deep depression and had closed my staging/interior decorating business down for almost two years. I had a wake up call through my acting journey, when I landed my first lead role it opened up something inside me and I started processing all the things I could have accomplished. Reopening up my business was one of those things I processed and I got started on rebranding. I studied hard, self teaching myself things and heavy research about my craft. I wrote up all my documentation and redid My own marketing material even redid my website. When I was finished I finally took that leap of faith and said DO IT! I reopened my business and pushed forward. It’s a slow start but you can’t lose focus. If you want to be a entrepreneur, a actress, a model, a doctor, a lawyer, or whatever just don’t give up. Remember we are our own worst enemy and I was mine for  long time until I told myself no more. You got this once you make the first step just keep going!

Some of the most amazing people that you adore come from the most disastrous situations and backgrounds, but they made a conscious decision to turn their pain into power! There is an unexplainable joy that exist in the heart and mind of a person who know there’s always an option. You’re limitless, there’s always something you can do!

When I feel challenged, I think of this:  I imagine a seed being planted. The roots grow downward into the soil where it gains nutrients.  This happens before the plant ever grows above ground.  If and when you are buried by life or circumstances, this is your time to take root, gain from the Source, obtain knowledge, & grow character.  So that when the time comes to finally sprout (above ground) you will not be easily uprooted. No matter, light winds or heavy rain. You will stand firm!

To someone who feels like a challenge is insurmountable… many things appear impossible, but appearances are often illusions. A beach may appear to be one large mass of land, but it’s really made of many small grains of sand. Challenges should be taken this way, grain by grain, step by step.

I think the best advice I can give to someone when they feel they are faced with a challenge that is insurmountable is to just remember that this challenge in your life won’t last forever. You’ve overcome every other challenge before this, so there’s no way you can’t get through it. Never lose motivation to get rid of the negative energy and keep the positive.

First and foremost always and I mean always believe in yourself.  If you don’t believe in you, who else is going to believe in you?  Be your biggest cheerleader.  Next, no matter how hard it gets don’t give up.  Stay positive!  Set small goals and focus on the outcome of those goals.  Then once those small goals are met set larger ones.  Lastly, ask for help.  There is no shame in reaching out to your friends, family, and community and asking for help.  I believe challenges are placed in front of us to make us stronger.  We should embrace them and learn from them.

The best advice I can give someone who is facing a ruff time is to look ahead never look back at the past, but instead focus on today. Be present and remain positive and take a deep breath! My key motto “if it won’t matter in 5 years then don’t spend 5 minutes thinking about it”. Rough times are not mean to make you worried but instead ask yourself instead of why is this happening? Say what are you trying to teach me or show me You can always turn a negative into a positive so continue to Move forward, live today, embrace tomorrow, and fix your Crown.

Visualize yourself as a light that can shine through anything.  Being faced with a seemingly impossible obstacle is the ultimate test. Who wants to fail? Not a soul. To pass the test is to allow the best of you to take charge: the you that is unbreakable and flexible. Like the elements, you are a powerful creator (and destroyer). Choose to flow, rise, & keep your roots deep! Always remember, we have the power to create solutions. Be the resilient being leading your own evolution; see the best case scenario play out in your mind and keep the faith! You are more than some body, let the challenge bring out the best in your spirit.

When I think of insurmountable, I think beyond my own ability, strength, or competence.  Seemingly outside of my control or influence.  It’s a hard place to be in.  A painful place even, depending on the challenge.  Feeling powerless can lead to all kinds of discouragement.  We may even feel different about who we are.  Maybe not quite like ourselves?  That’s what pressure does.  It pushes us beyond what’s familiar, and uncovers sides of us we didn’t even know were there.  We might find fear, we might find disappointment.  Maybe even a little bit of crazy.  But we also might find overcoming strength and resilience.  Heart.  The kind you can’t do without for where you’re going.  So the question is what are we going to do with what we discover?  There’s no such thing as resilience without resistance.  If you can’t do anything about what you can’t control, do something about what you can.  You.  FEAST on all that makes you come alive.  Until that challenge starts to look like something you’d like to eat for dinner.  Feed your belief in yourself, and your love for others.  And if you’re open, feed on a God who’s image you were created in.  Who speaks nothings into somethings, and chaos into beauty.  Because what makes the dream valuable, isn’t the dream.  It’s you.

A challenge is only as difficult as the sum of its parts, so my philosophy for overcoming them is that you “eat the elephant one bite at a time.” Its easy to become overwhelmed with large and unwieldy projects or goals in their entirety; but, taking a moment to break down your task into smaller more manageable sections instantly makes the challenge more palatable and digestible.

God would never present something to you can’t handle so take it as an honor to be faced with a challenge and be determined to get it done!

Rasheedah H. Muhammad | Nail Technician & Blogger

My best advice is, do it and do it scared, either way, it must be done. I believe that on the journey to success challenges are necessary because challenges build character. They force you to tap into that inner strength that we all possess. The reward that comes after defeating an obstacle is one of the greatest feelings.

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 bible quote). So when you start to think or believe your situation won’t turn around, FAITH is the key that not only unlocks the door, but it’s the very thing that will get you over that mountain. The crazy thing is, it only takes a little bit of it! I like to quote a scripture in times of despair or insurmountable belief, “I can do ALL things through Christ, the one who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13) Works every time. ”
