Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Galla Jones.
Hi Rebecca, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I wondered into a yoga class on a whim two decades ago and there was just something about it that has kept me coming back for more ever since. I got my teaching certification in 2004 and began teaching straight away. After many years of teaching in studios around Atlanta the desire to create something new presented itself. The timing seemed right to open my own studio. Becoming the owner of a small business is a labor of love and it’s best expressed in this quote by Alan Watts” This is the real secret of life — to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play” The trick is to hold tight to a playful mindset and just take it as it comes.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While it’s not always been easy, it has been worth it though! The plan was certainly not to open during a pandemic and my original business partner stepped away from the studio, both would constitute struggles, for sure. Despite all that people keep finding their way to us and the concept of “slow and steady wins the race” seems to be our theme.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a small local yoga studio dedicated to making everyone feel like someone. We like getting to know the needs of our community and call you by your name. We welcome you to find peace and well-being with us. We invite you to let us know how we can help you feel good from the inside out.
