Conversations with the Inspiring Brittany Harris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Harris.

Brittany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started back in 2007 when I became a mom for the first time. I knew then, I didn’t want to leave this little human for one minute, so I began looking for ways to make a living online. I had a few works from home jobs and in 2009, I discovered blogging for the first time. My first blog was totally dedicated to my journey through motherhood and pregnancy. Fast forward through my growth as a mother, as a woman in business, my kids have gotten older and I’ve transitioned to more of a lifestyle brand.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road by any chance of the imagination. I’ve struggled and still struggle with consistency and finding time between being a full-time parent and business owner and working part-time. If I were to give any advice to anybody, especially younger women, I’d just say be yourself and go with your gut. There’s so much out there and so many distractions and we always want to compare our page 1 to someone’s page 50. Just remain consistent, remain humble, remain hungry, remain yourself and you’ll get there.

What should we know about Britt Harris Co Blog? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a lifestyle blogger who specializes in encouraging women to live their truth, take time for themselves and be happy. I’m most proud of the uniqueness of the inspiration my brand brings to others. I’m only 28 but have the wisdom of a 60-year-old and I bring that to my brand, to my blog and all of my socials.

It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
I am a podcast junkie! I love listening to Pod Save America, it keeps me updated on everything happening in politics these days. I love The Sunday Jumpstart, Goal Digger, Earn Your Happy, Dreams in Drive and Becoming Fearless, these podcasts keep me motivated with real stories of real women who are in the grind everyday like me and making it happen.
