Conversations with the Inspiring Tiffany Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Davis.

Tiffany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am originally from Kingston, Jamaica and I’ve lived in Atlanta, Georgia most of my life. I’ve always been an artist at heart and I started drawing at a very young age. I am a self-taught painter and I practice my painting skills almost daily and I have been painting for four years now and it has helped me to achieve so many of my goals. I mostly work with acrylics, oils, and watercolor paints. I love to paint portraits, landscapes, and animals. I’m also a painting instructor and a body paint artist.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been very tough on this journey but through consistency and practice, I am able to continue to move forward to the next level. As an entrepreneur, you must put in a lot of time and work, with that being said you must treat this like any other job. Being an artist can sometimes look glamorous but financially, it can be a real struggle so be prepared for the good and bad days but always keep a positive attitude and remember if it were easy, everyone would be doing it!

What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I specialize in portrait, landscape, and body painting. I’m known for using vibrant colors and sometimes I like to add 3-D elements into my art pieces such as jewelry, flowers, glass, etc.

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
The road will be rocky but stay focused on your craft and leveling up and don’t compare yourself to others. Constantly creat things you like and work on whatever it is you are passionate about and you will find the right audience for your work.
