Life and Work with Arnesjah Miller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arnesjah Miller.

Arnesjah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my journey back in 2016 when I took a leap of faith to move from Florida to Georgia. It was the most challenging process of my life – sleeping in my car at times, moving from home to home, struggling to make a living. I had made a decision that some would say is dangerous or irresponsible, but I felt it was necessary to help me to become the woman I am today. The struggle was real. But I met God on deeper level.

This journey has widened my perspective of God’s capacity. He has shown me amazing things I never thought I could reach. He’s allowed me to sit among prominent people and positions I never imagined. He’s taken me all the way to a foreign country to serve as a missionary for up to 60 days. It has truly been an eye-opening journey that has built me into believing that ALL THINGS are possible.

I’ve worked four different corporate jobs since 2016 just to find myself back into the world entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship has stretched my faith as well to help me believe in the valuable gifts that I can offer the world.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My entrepreneurial road has not always been smooth. I have moments where I enjoy life to the fullest. There are other moments where I’ve doubted my calling because of my difficult circumstances. As with any entrepreneur, I’ve struggled with mentally keeping myself together, believing that everything is going to work out successfully. I’ve learned that every single day I must wake up determined and disciplined to tap into my inner power to make success happen. That is the advice I’d give to any other woman.

For the women starting off on their entrepreneurial journey, I advise you to number one, keep God first, for He is your guide and your answers within your journey. As soon as you wake up, begin your day seeking Him and thanking Him for all that you have even when it doesn’t look as pleasant as you desire. Things will definitely get better.

Secondly, prayer, expressing gratitude, and proactive thinking will help you reach success. Write down your goals, your dreams, your aspirations. Position your mindset to whole-heartedly believe that you can achieve your goals daily. Speak life over yourself constantly. Lastly, monitor what you speak and how you speak because your words are very powerful.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
I am extremely flexible. So, I’m well-known for various things. I am a poet and an author, a Virtual Assistant, and an inventor of Christian-based Prayer Mats. This is what sets me apart from others. After I was fired from my full-time job as an Office Manager, I knew that God was calling me to something different. I was performing poetry for free and creating Prayer Mats for extra income. But it wasn’t enough to sustain me. So, I prayed and asked God what service could I possibly provide others to make a living? I woke up in the middle of the night and thought of being a Virtual Assistant – a contractor or someone who provides services to business owners remotely.

I was already skilled in creating websites, graphics, content, and templates. So I thought, “Why not learn new skills to build a platform for business owners to gain profit and revenue through strategic marketing?” That was the moment I developed my Virtual Assistant business A+ Virtual Assistant Services, LLC where I provide profitable services and creative strategies for business owners. This entrepreneurial business brings me joy knowing that I am helping business owners create consistent streams of revenue and profit.

The process to building my business had also led me to writing my second book, I… Am Chosen: 21 Biblical Affirmations and Influential Messages to Develop Your God-Identity. This book was written for those who struggle with embracing their identity and calling; those who fear in stepping out on faith in their purpose, and those who seek to elevate as an entrepreneur.

I also have another business called Prayer Mats by Arnesjah, LLC where I handcraft Prayer Mats out of t-shirts, cami’s, and leggings. This is a business that stands out in the market because there is no one else with a Christian-based business creating Prayer Mats for comfortability, inspiration, and power. We spend a lot of time on our knees and faces in prayer. So, Prayer Mats are definitely needed in our churches and homes. In addition, I personally donate 10% of each purchase to my favorite missionary organization – The Jungle School located in Petén, Guatemala.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
The most important piece of advice that I could give a young woman who is just starting her career is to remain consistent no matter what. As you grow in entrepreneurship, you will inevitability face financial obstacles, uncomfortable challenges, and you will even lose some of the things and people you love. But you have to endure and keep your mind focused on the bigger picture.

Practice a consistent habit. Whether it be fasting weekly, waking up at 6 am every day, speaking affirmations daily, or exercising weekly, develop a rhythm where you can feel accomplished.

I was financially struggling at one point and I was fearful of reaching out to strangers to sell my book. However, I had no choice but to endure past my fear. So, I went to the mall, handed out my I…Am Affirmations bookmarks and talked to random strangers about my book. I eventually ran into a man who happens to be a business counselor. He gave me the option to either volunteer or work alongside of him to help him sell books and t-shirts. I’d say it was the perfect open door to learn the new skills and experience that would help lead me closer to my destiny. Had I not been consistent to approaching people and remained fearful, I would have never received this amazing opportunity.

Consistency is key to manifesting opportunities and the success you are seeking. Your determination to endure proves that you are serious about reaching your ultimate goal.
