Life and Work with Meagan Collins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Collins.

Meagan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always been in the kitchen cooking with my mother and my grandparents. I’ve always viewed cooking as an art form or a way to bring people together in love and gratitude. But little did I know, cooking would also provide nourishment to my mind, body, and soul as well as healing. Cooking became a profession for me when I lost my grandfather to stomach and kidney cancer. Losing him in the physical made me realize the importance of health, self-care and what I consume to nourish my body especially since I have challenges with acid reflux. I started taking cooking classes and researching healthy cooking methods while also doing meal prep for myself. Taking this initiative improved my health tremendously to where I was no longer taking medication for my acid reflux. I now have gained power. Eventually, my friends asked if I could meal prep for them and from there my business was formed.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Obstacles/challenges are nothing but opportunities for bigger blessings at the end of the day. They are always going to be there, it’s apart of life. So if you have an understanding of that along with knowing who you truly are and not what society deems you as, you’ll be able to navigate through any obstacle/challenge with ease. Having a clear understanding of your emotional intelligence and having power over your subconscious mind (no mental prison) is a proven formula for success. No obstacle shall stand in your way. You are a warrior woman. Keep going.

Please tell us about your work.
As a private chef, my goal is to provide an exceptional dining experience in the comfort of your own home. My private chef services include weekly meal prep, couple dining, small family dining, business luncheons, and small dinner parties. Whatever the occasion, the restaurant comes to you. Not only do I cook fabulous meals but I also created a natural juice line that opens your chakras called JUICES. My Chakra juice line allows one to unleash the natural healing power of the body especially those who have challenges with cholesterol and high blood pressure, autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis, digestive problems, and skin conditions. Healing the collective is my calling and I do it one soul at a time. Not only am I helping people to heal from illnesses or diseases but I am giving them back their time and energy to do things that they love like spending more time with their family or putting more hours into their business. Stress no more about label hunting, grocery shopping, cooking or choosing which diet fits you best. I do it all for you while you gain peace of mind and good health. This journey has inspired me to share my knowledge and wisdom on conscious eating, cooking with love, and the importance of eating with intent. Food is more than just taste bud pleasing. Food is medicine and it provides healing that we all deserve. After all, it is our birthright.

There’s a wealth of academic research that suggests that a lack of mentors and networking opportunities for women has materially affected the number of women in leadership roles. Smart organizations and industry leaders are working to change this, but in the meantime, do you have any advice for finding a mentor and building a network?
Never be afraid to ask for guidance. There are so many subject matter experts out there that are willing to help so set your ego aside and utilize your resources. You are unlimited being accepting from an unlimited source in an unlimited way. You are blessed beyond your fondest dreams and have everything that you need to accomplish your dreams. Take risks and trust that your intuition, your higher self, and the Universe will bring you abundance in all forms. RAmember that.
