Life & Work with Licita Cromer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Licita Cromer.

Hi Licita, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have always been funny, so I took a chance on doing stand-up professionally about 14 years ago. I’m self-motivated and a comic higher up took notice and helped me along my journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been smooth at all because I happen to be born a female. I have to work 3 times as hard as a male!!! I have several TV and honorable accolades but still not held in the same regard as men!!!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Professional Comedienne I do all types of comedy from gospel to urban clubs. I am proud to be able to cross over to be liked by such a diverse group of people.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I am glad that I took my brand, my name, and my business seriously because I had the foresight to LLC “Sweet Baby Kita”.
