Life & Work with Marie Verde

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marie Verde.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Being from Charleston, I didn’t wanna be a part of the normal “crab in a bucket“ personality. I had to stretch myself past my comfort zone. I tried something new which was modeling and loved it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, but I’m growing past my fears about it. I used to feel like I wasn’t pretty enough or not cool enough. I was always in my head about it. I stopped caring what people thought and became more comfortable about myself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’ve been modeling for 5 years now. I do fashion, glamour, or product shoots for different brands. I’m mostly proud that I kept with it, a lot of times I thought about letting it go, but I had to stop letting every fail get to me. what sets me apart is my personality. I’m easy to work with and hardworking

What were you like growing up?
I would say, I was hustle savvy lol. always knew how to make a dollar. I grew up in the church so I do have morals, which is a plus for this generation. I grew up wanting to be seen, I loved the feeling of attention but most importantly I wanted to be rich!
