Life & Work with Myriam Morisset

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myriam Morisset.

Hi Myriam, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Raw Head Bread was founded in May 17, 2017. The concept of creating Raw Foods came about when customers began to express a need for foods that were gluten-free, dairy-free, wheat-free, soy-free, and grain-free. What seemed to be happening people were developing allergies to particular foods. We would hear stories time and time again from clients how certain foods caused them to have stomach pains, headaches, and inflammation. So, the opportunity presented itself to create Healthy snacks like Raw Bagels, Flax Crackers, Buckwheat Bars, and more so as to help combat these alignments. Fyi our Healthy Snacks are made in a Dehydrator at a temperature no higher than 105 degrees which is the living food setting. On this setting, the nutrients and the enzymes are alive and intact in the food which provides great digestion for the body. Basically, our food is a Living sustainable food not saturated with artificial flavors or preservatives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For starters, we want to encourage people that if you have a business vision don’t talk about it be about it and develop a plan of action. Going to business for ourselves was the best decision that was made. It is definitely a life changer but it also defines character and integrity. The transition was not smooth and the struggle is real but if you have the tenacity and perseverance to succeed the Lord will make a way. Our journey has been an emotional rollercoaster financially, and a test of our strength and willingness to press forward. One of the hardest lessons learned in our business is that we can’t make everyone happy, but the customers that stand with us and support us make fighting for our business success worthwhile.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Growing up my wonderful parents thought us about service. When Family members and Friends came over my mother had us go to the store and fetch Avocado, Italian Bread and Bustello freshly ground coffee. It may not seem like much but when she arranged the platter and presented it adding some slices of tomatoes and the smell of that coffee brought about life, and memories of Love and appreciation. So, something as simple as that blossomed my personality. Work ethics came from Peninsula Spa in New York, Movie Theaters various Mortgage Companies, and H&R Block. Collaboration with people and serving others is what makes us thrive. So, the creation of Raw Head Bread allows all the experience learned in the 20 plus years of giving your all to jobs worked for so you can apply your remaining life cycle growing your own business making it something that matters.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The long-term plan is to have our products in Health Food Stores, Eclectic Coffee shops, Schools, and in as many homes as possible. We continue to prosper as long as we are constantly brainstorming and consistent with our products. We listen to our customers’ needs and implement new food ideas that embrace the challenges of our food industry. The goal is to make sure that our ingredients are always organic, locally sourced, no GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, wheat-free, and soy-free. We stand behind our Healthy snacks to make sure we always deliver a high-quality product. This is what separates us from the rest.
