Meet Adrienne Cooper of Moonlight Roller Lounge in Chattanooga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Cooper.

Adrienne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I came up with the concept and started market research in February of this year. After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from skaters and young adults across the Southeast, I got to work to bring Moonlight to life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely not. There are no rinks in the Southeast with this type of business model, so all of the work I’ve done has been from scratch. From the business plan to the architectural designs for space, everything is brand new.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Moonlight Roller Lounge is the Southeast’s first 18+ roller venue, coming to Ooltewah, TN next year. We are revitalizing the traditional rink model to cater to young adults, the young at heart, and roller enthusiasts alike. Our new facility will boast 23,000 sq.ft. featuring an arcade, concession stand (with vegan/GF options), and mezzanine-level lounge and conference room. Merging the social experiences of a rink and a lounge in a child-free, upscale environment will attract new skaters to the community as well.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Without the love and support of some of the best and brightest people I know, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Patrick Parker took design on the back of a sheet of paper and turned it into breathtaking architectural plans for Moonlight. Garbriella Bordo, for capturing all of my ideas perfectly into a beautifully crafted brand guide and interior design lookbook. My investors, for funding this venture and helping me grow as an entrepreneur. Daphne Ropka, for being the best mentor any young person could hope to have. My mom, for giving me the tools I’ve needed to pull this project together. And of course, my husband, for supporting me and believing in my vision when it was just an idea on my phone’s notepad.
