Meet Autumn Andretta of MEV Travel in Canton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Autumn Andretta.

Autumn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am passionate about travel. I have have had the opportunity to visit places like Paris, Rome, St. Petersburg and London and I have also enjoyed magical trips to Disney World and relaxing beach vacations. The trip I am most excited about in my near future is for my husband and I to head to Barcelona, Athens and Santorini later this spring. I think that traveling and vacationing is so important for relationships. What better way to strengthen those bonds, than through amazing new experiences and the formation of lasting memories? I think this is key for couples and families alike; which is why when I decided to build a business in travel, I felt that it was important to establish myself as my client’s “travel agent for life” – from their honeymoon, to anniversary trips and then traveling with their children, I hope to be there every step of the way.

For me, I have always felt that planning a trip was almost as much fun as taking the trip itself. So, what better way to have fun than to help plan travel experiences for other people?

Has it been a smooth road?
It is a slow process to build a clientele and to get the word out about what you are doing. It is very much a business that is built on referrals and word of mouth, so providing excellent customer service to my clients is one of the most important things that I can do to grow my business.

It is also an obstacle to educate people on why they need a travel agent. Many people have the misconception that travel agents are no longer relevant or needed; and that is simply untrue. While the internet is a wealth of information for individual planning a trip, it is really too much information and how do you know what to believe or where to begin? That is where a travel expert can step in and after getting to know a little about you, can help guide you to the perfect vacation. But wait! Our job does not stop there. Once I have booked your trip, I will continue to walk with you through the process. Helping to prepare you for you trip through pre-booking excursions, dining, spa treatments, transportation to and from your airports and maybe even making dining recommendations or reminding you to check those passport expiration dates. When you have a question about anything, you don’t have to worry about who you might get on the call center line, you know you will always get ME and you can text, email or call me with whatever you need.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with MEV Travel – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My goals is to be your “travel agent for life”. With that in mind, I have focused in on leisure travel – specifically romance travel and family travel. I love planning honeymoons and destination weddings. Then, I hope I can continue working with those couples to plan their anniversary getaways and later on, their family vacations. I am a member of the Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Association and I also a graduate of the Disney College of Knowledge, so I have training and resources available at either end of the spectrum.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love living in the South. I feel like I can always find a warm welcome or a helping hand wherever I go. I have grown-up in the Atlanta Metro area, so I have a well-establish network of friends and family, which provides an incredible support system.

Least would have to be the traffic!
