Today we’d like to introduce you to Charnice Crowley.
Charnice, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Over three years ago, I started my plus-sized model career and in between shoots, I’ve noticed my skin was breaking out. After doing some research, I started making my own homemade skincare products at home. Once, I switched up my skincare, I started getting a lot of compliments on my skin and I wanted to share with my community on how to take care of your skin. After my first attempt of starting Holistic Pleasures, I realized that I had so much more to learn and decided to attend Esthetics school. While I was in school, I came to realize my niche in Esthetics and wanted to provide a natural solution with modern technology and created Holistic Pleasures Spa and Apothecary LLC.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This journey has been far from easy but it has been very rewarding. I have revamped my business several times until I felt it was time to launch. One of my mantras throughout this journey is, “it might not make sense now, but it will later.” After two years of planning, it is now starting to make sense. My advice to future entrepreneurs with full-time jobs is, be patient with yourself. Everything happens in Divine Timing.

Holistic Pleasures Spa and Apothecary is a brand that focuses on beauty inward and outward. We specialize in skincare. We offer facials, body treatment, waxes and more. We combat skin concerns with natural solutions with modern technology.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t know if we had our share of good or bad luck but I believe the law of attraction. You get what you put out. In so many words, what’s meant for me, will be for me.
