Meet Chelsea Richardson of Richardson Media House in Benteen Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Richardson.

Chelsea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started out doing freelance work while studying Photography at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Throughout school, I worked for the Public Relations Department photographing Art Institute events. I also worked for the director of Photography doing many weddings and family portrait sessions. I met my husband, Nate Richardson, at the Art Institute and we established a small business specializing in Weddings and Portraiture. After studying photography, Nate went back to school for Web Design and Development. I partnered with and managed a boutique portrait studio while Nate expanded his education. After his graduation, we rejoined forces to form Richardson Media House, a boutique Photography, Web Design and Development business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We have relocated several times to take advantage of exciting opportunities. The downside being that we have had to start over getting established in different cities. We have finally put down roots here in Atlanta and are extremely excited to be done moving. We loved every city we’ve been lucky enough to work in, but are more than ready to stay put and thrive here.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Richardson Media House story. Tell us more about the business.
At Richardson Media House, we specialize in photography for weddings, families and small businesses. We also offer websites made to feature our photography. We are known for gorgeous imagery, clean design and impeccable customer service. We do not outsource anything, we work with our clients directly and pride ourselves in their satisfaction. We are perfectionists and love what we do.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
We consider ourselves very lucky to have met in college. To find someone you work so well with so early in your career is amazing. We have had great luck finding clients that truly appreciate our work and ample opportunities to travel and explore the different venues of our profession. We are luckiest to have finally found a place to settle down and prosper.
