Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Brooks.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Originally I am from Fort Bragg, NC, however; coming from a military family we relocated frequently when I was younger. Luckily, as I approached my teenage years my family was able to settle down in Georgia and I have naturally become a true Southern woman.
My journey into Real Estate was not a direct path. After high school I pursued a degree in Accounting and found myself as a corporate manager here in Atlanta. Shortly after, I found that being a single mother and working in Corporate America was not my passion.
After much hesitation allowed my passion to pave the way I found myself in Real Estate.
While I did have worries of my salary becoming completely commission-based, I knew that if I following my dreams I would never regret the outcome. It was not an easy path and I credit God, my faith, and my family for standing by me and lending help along the bumpy road.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I definitely wouldn’t describe it has smooth. I’ve learned to look at obstacles as small mountains that I must overcome, knowing that once I do there is a reward waiting at the peak. Starting your own business is not easy and there are times you will think to yourself, why? I have experienced million-dollar months and zero dollar quarters in Real Estate. However, it’s those zero dollar quarters that make the fruit of your labor so much sweeter when you experience those highs. No matter what the outcome is in the future I will always take with me the values I have learned thus far. Never underestimate the value of hard work, good marketing, and a strong team.
Crystal Clear Realty – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a local realtor and I work with sellers, buyers and investors in every price point. I specialize in getting homes sold for top dollar and turning renters into homeowners. Real Estate transactions are one of the most impactful events in a persons life. I pride myself in making the sell or purchase of a home an experience opposed to just another transaction. I find purpose and joy in assisting my clients with all their real estate needs so I go above and beyond for them. To me, it’s more than just a check. I’m genuinely invested in assisting my clients achieve their real estate goals and because that’s crystal clear to my clients we build a lifelong relationship.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is a difficult thing to define, as it means something a little different to each person. However, I believe the unifying theme of success is being able to live in your own purpose and to become your authentic self. There is nothing more gratifying than the self-satisfaction that comes along with being able to know that every day you are consistently putting the best version of yourself out there. I find that daily goals are one of the best ways that I check in with myself to make sure I am pushing myself further than the day before.
