Meet Daniel Marin of Press Icon in Griffin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Marin.

Daniel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Started off doing small designs/graphics for car windows and the projects got bigger and more interesting. Getting referrals here and there, eventually, I’m getting asked to apply graphics directly onto vehicles and that’s when I was like “yo, I want to do more of these. I love it.

The vehicles started varying, did a few designs on some motorcycles and even some tow trucks and slowly I’m building up my experience and portfolio. Now this year I have actively committed to reaching new clients and growing the business. So when I’m not at my day job, I’m out there slinging graphics. Making the dream work.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Luckily there’s been very few incidences so far, but they can happen, Damage to a vehicle if you’re not careful. Then you have to replace any damage. I do have to turn down some jobs that require keeping a vehicle/project for a number of days or an install that requires to be in a climate-controlled area because I do not have a shop, so that’s a challenge in itself.

Keeping it same day mobile installs for now.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
I design and install graphics to basically any smooth surface. Windows, walls, vehicles, anything that a sticker will stick on, I can help. Commercial vehicle projects is what I specialize in. Most smaller companies don’t have a logo or any type of branding and I’ll work with them not only on installing graphics to their vehicle but also designing something that will overall look nicer and more professional than some magnets slapped on the doors.

I’m proud of helping with any project, big or small, look good. It’s what I’m here for. That is what sets me apart.
