Meet Dominique Ivory of MBA in Metropolitan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Ivory.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dominique. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started in Florida this is where I’m from. Music has always been apart of my life, from listening to the radio to singing in the church choir. Coming up as an artist is a journey and it hasn’t been an easy one.

I’ve been homeless, locked up, and neglected and still kept music in my forefront. It’s my medicine and my calling; I’m talented in many other areas but music is the pinnacle of my abilities, to say the least. I’ve evolved as a person through life and music and I will continue for as long as I’m on this earth.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Its been a rough road, but a very worth it and highly rewarding journey. Making the music is easy to me; sticking through the trials was the hard part. It takes a lot of money, power, and respect to thrive; of course, knowing people helps but the journey isn’t smooth. I had people saying that they were going to help me and end up doing bad business. I would say the only things in my way was myself and bad intentions. Those two areas of life are important to pay attention to. Pay attention to yourself and those around you. You are what you eat and you become what’s around you. You have to learn to balance energy.

MBA – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
MBA is a collective of uniquely talented individuals. We all have our own pathways but, we come together as a force to be reckoned. Artistry and growth is our focus; growth financially and in life. I’m proud of the team, in general, we all are high-frequency game changers!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
A moment that stuck with me is when I realized who I was in music. Music helped me breakthrough my own barriers and explore a side of me that I wasn’t expecting. I’m glad music chose me to do work. I feel like my full potential is unlocking and being released into the earth.
