Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Josel Doyle. Dr. Josel was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Dr. Dionne Greaves.
Dr. Josel, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in the Caribbean on the beautiful island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I was never expected to survive because I was born premature, and during my time in the hospital, I struggled to gain weight.
Being deemed a “failure-to-thrive infant” by doctors, my parents were advised that I must become a ward of the state. My mom advocated and insisted that she was perfectly okay with taking me home from the hospital and that if I were not meant to survive, she would simply trust the will of God. As you can see, it was clearly the will of God for me to live and not die, so many years later, I am still here. At five years old, I informed my parents that I wanted to become a “baby doctor,” just like the beautiful brown-skinned pediatrician that saved my life. I became so obsessed with my birth story that I wanted and was determined to give back what was given to me almost 40 years ago.
Even when the academic odds were stacked against me and teachers and program directors throughout my medical training told me that I was not intelligent enough, or didn’t have high enough in-service scores, or that I simply did not have what it would take to become a Pediatrician, far less a neonatologist – I never gave up! I used their limiting beliefs and doubts about me as my drive to accomplish the dreams God placed on my heart at such a tender age. Trusting my vision and vocation now allows me to provide premature infants not expected to survive with the chance of survival and thrive using the skills and passion gained through the many challenges I faced and my Christian faith as a springboard.
Today, I am one of the few black female physicians in neonatology. My mission is to provide the diversity and care needed in the medical field to ensure representation matters. Very few healthcare professionals openly speak about the challenges faced as a black female, foreign graduate, and immigrant physician, and even though they were counted as strikes against me, they have now become my testament of strength, resilience, and perseverance. The prejudices I have faced due to cultural differences led me to realize that I needed to change the narrative I wanted to be told, not only to me but to future generations of women like me. I now have two affiliate marketing businesses that have allowed me to thrive in my faith, leverage an alternative income stream and impact the lives of other women.
During the pandemic, with burnout and overwhelm creating a void in my life, I realized that I needed to find more value in my personal life, which led to the discovery of my purpose. I discovered that outside of my career, there was little fulfillment, and it was only when I started watering my life – physically, spiritually, and emotionally – did I find renewed purpose, passion, and satisfaction at work and in my personal life. Building my brand around my affiliate marketing opportunities has unlocked my love story with water and propelled me to discover the value and power of investing in myself. I knew that improving my hydration was where I needed to start if I truly wanted to break the cycle of self-neglect, burnout, and overwhelm. Still, I never expected this level of holistic transformation.
The ripple effect of recognizing I didn’t feel the same level of fulfillment outside of my profession and knowing that I possessed everything that I needed to fill it was truly a game-changer for me. I fell in love with my water ionizer, which allowed me to enjoy the best drinking water I have ever had. Plus, the opportunity to decrease my contribution to plastic waste while creating an eco-friendly, toxin-free home and sanctuary was a no-brainer for me. The best bonus – there are tons of cost-saving benefits! This, coupled with the accountability to focus on my wellness journey, education of undertaking a business venture, and creating an alternate source of income with the affiliate marketing bonus, were my ripple effect. I committed to invest in myself financially and to be intentional about the narrative I was going to live. I changed my daily routine and began pouring the living water of the Gospel into my soul and increasing my daily consumption of electrolyzed-reduced water to hydrate me physically. In no time, I was cured of my aversion to drinking water and found greater fulfillment in my life again.
Please tell us more about your brand, JAAD’s Purpose
JAAD’s Purpose focuses on philanthropy and provides a consultancy service for neonatal care. It is also the hub for my pursuits as a motivational speaker, and businesses as a physician-entrepreneur. Through JAAD’s Purpose, I help other single, God-driven female physicians build a life of health, wealth, and legacy using hydration. I also serve other women who want to develop their online businesses using attraction marketing while being their most authentic, unapologetic selves.
What sets me apart from others is my water entrepreneurship journey inspired by my discovery of Kangen Water through one of my affiliate marketing businesses. This literally has transformed my life. I am now living with intentionality as I’ve discovered the benefits of living a hydrated life – not only physically but spiritually and emotionally as well. I’ve experienced the power of naturally hydrating my body and pouring into myself first while nourishing my soul with love and care to face the world as a healthier, much more rejuvenated version of myself. I am most proud that my entrepreneurial journey has reignited a dream of being of service to others outside of my career in medicine. This journey has allowed me to create alignment and overcome burnout by learning to invest in myself and relearning to love my authentic self. Thanks to the pandemic, I realized that the void in my life that I once felt resulted from this burning desire for more in my life outside of my career.
I can now identify as a happier, healthier, and God-driven version of myself, and it has changed how I show up in the world. My water entrepreneurship journey has reignited a passion that drives and energizes me! It’s what motivates me to take action daily intentionally. I leveraged my affiliate market entrepreneurship journey to overcome my professional burnout. I went from Living Life Dehydrated and Burnt Out to Living a Life of Passion, Vitality, and Purpose. So when I share the impact that hydration and entrepreneurship have had on my life, I know it is not because of ego. Still, it is a true testament to the impact and transformation I have personally experienced in my life, family, and relationships. I am now in a position to help other women conquer burnout and overwhelm while creating a lifestyle of health, wealth, and legacy.
