Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Brundage.
Erin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I became interested in real estate at the age of 13 while observing my father, an Associate Broker. My father would drive me through Atlanta neighborhoods and we’d view beautiful single-family homes together. I would always accompany my dad when showing or viewing properties and little did I know he would become one of my greatest mentors. In 2018, my life pivoted and I bought my first home in the heart of the Historic Downtown Atlanta. I began exploring the hidden gems and learning the Atlanta city grid while networking and aligning with people who share my common goals and interests – entrepreneurship. As I networked and researched, I learned more about how real estate opportunities could create residual income. I was super interested in the various ways that one could acquire properties and how to turn real estate opportunities into short and long-term investments. From there, there was nothing more to do but to obtain my real estate license which has afforded me the rewarding experience of being able to help residential clients close on homes all while establishing my footprint on the Atlanta real estate market.
During my childhood, it was nothing but athletics which led to becoming a natural competitor. I started playing basketball in the first grade and developed sisters and coaches that shaped me into the disciplined person I am today. What I learned the most about being a part of so many different teams with different personalities was the importance of commitment, transparency and growth.
After high school, I attended the Queen’s University of Charlotte as a student-athlete, playing basketball while attaining a BA with a specialization in Marketing and Minor in Public Health. Studying and playing sports disciplined me even more and taught me the importance of balance. I always had something to do and was determined to do it.
Before beginning my career in real estate, I did what most people do when they leave college. I got a job. I spent four years in Account Management & Data Operations working in various corporate settings. Working in corporate has allowed me to gain experience in direct consumer marketing, building strategic relationships, and project management as well as extends my network. During my time in corporate America, I have been able to develop business acumen and become more of a leader off the court.
Aside from sports, business and school, I have always had a close support system with my brother and parents who encourage and listen to my business ideas and provide honest advice and different perspectives.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges I face today is doing real estate and working full time at a corporate job, but I make it work. There are long hours, patience, and management. I’m like my own project manager. The second challenge I face is running two businesses – E.Leigh Realty and 365 Property Solutions – for real estate and preparing to launch my third this year – E. Leigh Photography. Challenges make individuals stronger when they are faced and I find joy in all these challenges because I am finally established in my passion. Two of the things that get me through are meditation and leaning into my fears. Focusing on those two things has only opened doors for more success.
Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
E. Leigh Realty is a real estate company and Solid Source Realty, GA affiliation that provides services to clients looking to buy, sell or invest in a home in Georgia. I am a Realtor and Investment specialist with expertise in market conditions that helps get clients to the closing table. We often assist in finding properties for clients in desired areas, free consultations and presentations for listing properties and additional services that will put our client’s in the best position to maximize their profit.
What sets us apart from others is our partner relationships in the real estate industry for investors, wholesalers and retail clients. We wear a lot of hats and use our unique market perspective to facilitate transactions for homeowners and end buyers. Not everyone’s situation will be the same but we are always available and provide solutions for our clients in any market.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment was being able to successfully start a thriving real estate business in a city that is always growing and adjusting, no matter the circumstances. It allowed me to tap into multiple avenues and build so many authentic relationships. Entrepreneurship can be hard. You have to have the drive. If you are looking to start a business, there will always be room to create your niche as an entrepreneur even in such a diverse talent pool.
