Today we’d like to introduce you to Gwennetta Wright.
Gwennetta, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey as an entrepreneur started 13 years ago with my first business Xpert Tax Service LLC, and I also obtained my license as a realtor at the same time. Therefore, my start as an entrepreneur was in two professions, the tax industry, and real estate industry. While running my tax business, about five years in the industry, God allowed me to start birthing other businesses. The vision was downloaded into me to start a Women’s Clothing Boutique name Fashionizta and a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Reach 4 Your Dreamz Inc. In looking back over my career as an entrepreneur, I must state that through all my wins and losses as an entrepreneur, I took what I learned and developed a deep passion for helping others build businesses and developing brands. I mention God a lot because it is truly my faith walk that has brought me to where I am today. With that stated, three years ago, God gave me the vision to birth my very own talk show called Gwen’s Business Corner with Deonta B. I host and operate the show with my best friend, Deonta Blount. The talk show was created from my passion for wanting to help other entrepreneurs. I have seen a need to create a platform that provided education, resources, and tools that business owners, entrepreneurs, and entertainers can use to apply to their everyday journeys.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. I feel like anytime that you are trying to meet goals or reach any level of success that you will have adversity. Being a business owner is all about taking the risk, and rather you survive on this journey, or not will depend on how you deal with the adversity. One of the biggest struggles that is always at the forefront is funding. It takes money to make money, and creating a talk show from the ground up takes a lot of capital, and it takes a while before you can see a return on your investment.

Gwen’s Business Corner with Deonta B is a Multimedia Platform with a focus on educating, entertaining, and inspiring viewers with transparent educational interviews. GBC is designed to provide an informative platform consisting of entrepreneurs, business professionals, celebrities, and independent artist/contractors. The vision of GBC is to provide business owners, entrepreneurs, and entertainers with the resources, tools, and education that is needed to assist them to elevate in their business. In addition to GBC hosting the talk show, we also do media coverage for events, offer to advertise to businesses and brands, photography, and videography.
What were you like growing up?
My favorite memories from my childhood is remembering all the times I took the lead when I was amongst my friends. I laugh when I think about it now, because I realize how bossy I was not knowing that I was going to be a Boss when I became an adult. I didn’t know then that God was molding me for leadership. I can remember at 17 planning a vacation to Florida for me and my friends to go on. I took care of all the plans and collected the money from everyone. I mapped out how we were going to get there, what we were going to tell our parents, and how the trip was going to get paid for.
