Meet Jason Sanders of Jay The Motivator

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Sanders.

Jason, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We all have a purpose and it typically is found at the intersection of your passion and talent.

Without knowing what that purpose is life can feel hollow. I was at that point several years ago.

I woke up one morning and knew life had to be more than waking up, to go to work, to pay bills and die. I prayed that God helps me find my purpose and shortly after he revealed it to me.

Once I received direction it was time to move my feet. From using my talent to develop employees at my job at the time to creating weekly articles to honing my life coaching skills through continuing education to producing videos weekly and live speaking events all with the purpose of, “helping others become a better version of themselves.”

Has it been a smooth road?
All things happen in God’s timing. A lot of times we want things right when we want them as we lack patience. This was the same for me as well. At the time I routinely worked 10 – 12 hours per day, working as many as 10 days in a row which left little time to work on my purpose.

However, I had to ask myself a question, “how bad did I want it?” Was I willing to stay up to 4 am working on my purpose take an hour nap and then go work on my job? Was I willing to step outside my comfort zone to work in my calling? If not, then I really didn’t deserve it.

However, I understood it is a process, not punishment so I remained faithful over the few hours I had and I was able to move on from that company and devote more time to my purpose.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Jay The Motivator – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I help people become a better version of themselves. I believe people are naturally creative and whole and have the ability to overcome many of the roadblocks in their lives. I assist them with getting over those obstacles through life coaching, speaking and teaching.

The moments that make me the proudest is when a person’s face lights up when they have that “aha” moment. When they have that breakthrough I know that I have played my role in helping them become a better version of themselves.

The thing that sets me apart is that the foundation that I operate out of is based on Biblical principles.

Principles don’t change. Whether we like them or not, agree with them or don’t, know about them or never heard about them, they are in effect. We can either use these principles to help us or hurt us but ignorance of the law does not negate its effects.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I’m appreciative of the opportunity that Atlanta has to offer. The ability to purchase property, plan for the future and meet great people.

I’m from New York so I do miss the food up there. The variety of food, the ability to eat it at even 3 in the morning and how there are so many Mom and Pop type places to go for a specific food.
