Meet Jordan Le’Nay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Le’Nay.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jordan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The road that lead me to ultimately become an Integrative Health Coach has been a long wind winding one, with many unexpected turns along the way. As a child, I trained extensively in the area of Performing Arts. I took dance lessons starting at the age of 2 and went on to spend my last four years of grade school with both a performing arts major and minor at The Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts.

From there, I went on to pursue my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting with a minor in Dance from Ithaca College. It would be obvious to say I grew up active, however, what was lacking was a true understanding of overall wellness as a continuum, and enough knowledge to help balance out the many areas of wellness when it came to overall mind-body connection.

After earning my Bachelor’s, I moved to New York City where I began auditioning for gigs, working as a choreographer, and most importantly, discovered my love for fitness. The first time I got serious about my health and fitness journey and looked at it as indeed a journey (a marathon and not a sprint), my entire life changed. I wanted to match my passion with education and ended up continuing my learning with Duke Medicine’s Integrative Health Coaching program. From there, I earned my personal trainer + group fitness instructor certifications.

Currently, I am over the moon grateful to share that I am now the general manager of the first Atlanta SPENGA franchise, managing the studio Spenga East Cobb. We are a spin, strength, and yoga studio located in Marietta. Personally, I coach clients one-on-one and in groups, and make it my mission to help them bridge the gap between where they are, and where they ultimately want to be

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Has it been smooth? Absolutely not. I’ve stopped counting the times I’ve “fallen off the wagon” or ultimately lost my motivation. Being a leader in health and fitness space comes with an immense amount of pressure to display traits that reflect discipline, organization, and confidence. I struggled often with feeling guilty for ordering takeout after sending a client their weekly meal plan or for going days without exercising. What I had to realize is most of the feedback I get from clients, centers around the fact that they find me down to earth and relatable. Connection between coach and client is the most important thing, so I’ve actually found my road bumps to be relatable to my clients; I think my honesty is part of the reason they enjoy working with me.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business Health Coaching by Jordan Le’Nay, is multi-faceted. I personally train clients individually and in groups, at a private gym in Marietta. However, one of the newest additions and components to my business is a branch called The Wellness Chicas, where I’ve partnered with a close friend who is a Holistic Nutrition Coach, and together we train clients virtually via our mobile app! Raiany Silva and I balance each other out perfectly, she designs both vegan and non-vegan meal plans that primarily focus on anti-inflammation and I design the weekly workouts. Our mission is to help the go-getter, or the “busy bees” as we like to call them, achieve their highest level of fitness through accountability practices and plans that are actually sustainable. We love the fact that all of our content can be accessed in the palm of your hand through our app. We want to take the workload off our clients and make this as easy as it can be on their end. I’m most proud of the fact that I make it my mission to cultivate personal relationships with all of my clients- via weekly or even daily phone calls, sending them tupperware for meal prep, and resistance bands for at home workouts, along with personalized letter of encouragement and support.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always social, extroverted, and driven. I’m not used to sitting still. I thrive off having plans, goals, and lists made. I’ve always loved making the most of my day and juggling multiple projects at once- it’s in my nature. I’ve always adored moving my body. I always say “move your body in some way every day”. Whether it’s dancing in your living room, taking long walks, practicing yoga, weight lifting, I just love the rewards and psychological benefits to moving my body!
