Meet Josh Sloan of Sloan Painting & Designs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Sloan.

Josh, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a third-generation painter- my dad/grandpa were also painters. Growing up I worked alongside my Dad learning the trade – allowing me experience in the industry for 30+ years so it just comes natural to me. I’ve always wanted to own my own company- with my previous knowledge in painting it seemed to make the most sense.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Running a business is never easy- I’d say the biggest struggle is our business growing faster than we know how to handle at times– this is a blessing for sure and it points out how important it is to employ the right people. We’ve got a really good team now that has taken years to perfect. I’m excited for future projects as we progress as a company.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We have been in the painting industry for over 20 years. Our experience has helped to ensure jobs are completed as scheduled in clean safe environments. We handle Multi-Family, Residential, High-Rise/Mid-Rise, Condo & Townhomes, including any commercial and custom work.

We are a complete painting and construction company not limited to full wood/siding replacement, pressure washing, gutters, concrete work as well as emergency services such caused by flood, fires, and other unforeseen damages to your home and/or business.

What were you like growing up?
I was very shy and reserved but always a hard worker at whatever I put my mind to. I feel as though I’ve learned to be more outgoing.
