Meet Kimberly Cook of All Living Things in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Cook.

Kimberly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Kim Cook, owner of All Living Things! I am so glad you are reading this! In 2017 I was given the vision to turn my passion for cultivating indoor plants and make it a successful business.

I can remember growing up in Southwest Atlanta, my mother having plants all over the house and listening to Stephanie Mills, Dottie Peeples and Anita Baker; watching while she watered and pruned all her live plants in the house. Growing a love for live indoor plants I was guided to turn my passion into a business.

Maintaining plant life is one of my biggest passions. Plants provide so much life to us by circulating airflow and add ambience to any space.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, not at all! But ever so thankful for the trials along the way. Learning from losing to be a better businesswoman. Slow and steady wins the race, so I’m running my marathon and not trying to sprint to the finish line.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
All Living Things is an Indoor Horticulture Design and Maintenance business. Specializing in cultivating and maintaining plant life. Primarily succulents, these succulents come in varying shapes, sizes and colors. So I really enjoy creating with these in making my signature CenterPEACE. A living home/office decor accent. Great for gifts and adding a splash of ambience to any space.

Also hosting an event Plant N Sip, where patrons get to experience making their own CenterPEACE while sipping on their favorite wine. A very therapeutic process, this event allows; girlfriends, homeboys, best friends and lovers spend much-needed quality time together while creating something beautiful they can take home and nurture.

I am most proud as a company that I have created my own lane and intend on staying in it. Being that what sets me apart is my love and intimate relationships with plants that shines through in my work. Also proud of All Living Things philanthropic efforts recently embarking on a 2019 Winter Sock Drive where we raised 104 pairs of socks and handed out to Atlanta’s less fortunate.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a bit introverted and extroverted. I was apart of a lot of extracurricular activities and knew a lot of people. But still reserved in a sense. My personality is the same bubbly and corny. As I’ve aged, swag has definitely been gifted to me by the Gods… lol… but I’m a geek at heart. My interests were whatever MTV or BET was playing.

Pricing:

  • Small CenterPEACE $10
  • Medium CenterPEACE $25
  • Large/Custom CenterPEACE $65 and up
  • Plant N Sip $25/person

Congrats on a job well done! I love the concept and I can see how the Plant and Sip would be very relaxing!
