Meet Nia Cox of Camille’s Custom Kreations in Moreland Ave

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nia Cox.

Nia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My whole life, I have grown up seeing my mom, aunts, grandmother and cousins making beautiful gifts and decorations. I just knew I wanted to get into this kind of business; first I wanted to be an interior designer but since the summer of 2014 I fell in love making gift baskets, making centerpieces and other things for people. So ever since then, I have pursued my dream. I love everything that I do. My husband is a big part of my dreams with this business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes, of course, I did have some challenges during these years but I have always found a way to keep going. I know I just love seeing all my clients happy especially when it comes to the event planning part of my business. Some of the struggles that I had was pleasing a few clients and being able to handle my whole business by myself since I do a lot of things.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Camille’s Custom Kreations – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Camille’s Custom Kreations specialize in Event Planning, Gift Baskets, Candles, Bath Bombs and Massage Body Oils. My business all started from when I made a gift basket for a few people for Valentine’s Day & when I decorated a friend’s baby shower for her. I just loved doing it and I got a lot of compliments from it. Ever since those days I just knew I wanted to turn this into a business.

I’m honestly just proud of myself with my company. I never thought I can do it until I just put my mind into. Everything that I do I loves doing it. You have to love your job and be happy with it. What sets me apart from other companies is my personality, prices and my customer service.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future plans for the next years or so is to open up my own event hall and my own retail store for all my products.
