Meet One Love of A.Young in Southside

Today we’d like to introduce you to One Love.

Hailing from the Eastside of Atlanta is A.Young, an ambitious rapper who is destined to make it in the music industry. In (2013), the rapper released DSB: Dedicated Since Birth. The 12-track project featured Davon Trev, Hokage Haze, Ghost Da Reallist, Dawish Khush, and Cheifin Jones. A.Young then followed up with his next project, Higher Learning while in his freshman year of College at West Georgia. (2013) A.Young let his hungriness for the game shine through the 10-track project. Which gave him an opportunity with a management contract, with company”EmediStar” based in California, that had him trying to balance College life and the rise of his Rap career. However, that led A.Young going back and forth from Cali which took a hard hit to his studies which eventually caused him to leave West Georgia in 2015. In (2016), A.Young released El Sol y La Luna. The leading single El Sol garnered a significant amount of plays on Soundcloud.

Recently, A.Young released More Miscellaneous Things. (2018) He labels the new Ep, combined with his last Ep “Love And Other Miscellaneous Things” (2017) as the Epilogue for something much bigger. (2019)

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. With the type of life, I wanna live it takes a lot of personal growth, strength, confidence, LOVE, and patience. I’ve been kicked out of school, laughed at, ridiculed, lost friends, lost family, & had to cut folks off who wasn’t contributing Positive energy around me. This year alone I’ve made it a point to focus on nothing but Music. Yeah, I’ve struggled, yeah I’ve been broke, yeah I’m not where I wanna be but I have the Faith in myself, God, and the purpose I have chosen. Spreading OneLove and Self Love through my character and music has to be achieved even if I’m lacking in the things society finds appealing or respectable.

Please tell us about your work.
I am my company. I am my business. My music is my pulpit, my field, my court, my life. My sole mission is to spread positive awareness and growth in the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical aspects of our fellow human beings. We have been conditioned since birth to live in this country and to live in this country in a specific way. However, I follow God’s messages of Love, Peace, and Unity. I have genuine Love for everyone I come across even if they don’t have it for me. I think that’s what sets me apart because my spirit and purpose is in function together. Anyone who sees my social media, hear my music or gets the chance to meet me in person I want them to feel all this unconditional Love and realness because it’s genuine and it’s ME. No gimmicks no facades.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I’ve had a lot of up & downs in my career and Life. However I wouldn’t change a thing because everything I’ve gone through has made me who I am today.
