Meet Bibi Williams of Organized Khaos Events in South Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bibi Williams.

Bibi, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The moment I stepped into a whirlwind of details while planning a birthday celebration for two of my best friends in college, I knew I was born to do this. It is an awesome feeling to carry something from a thought or vision to execution. In 2009, I was brushing my teeth and God gave me the name of my business and certain aspects of the website design. Finally, in January 2010, Organized Khaos Events became official.

My 15+ years in the hospitality industry has afforded particular skills in sales and marketing, strategy planning and operations, and project management; just to name a few. My passion and skills have allowed me to work with Pastors, CEOs and everything in between. I have planned board meetings, international prayer conferences, sales trainings, ministry & market place leadership forums and tradeshows. I have also worked with some world renowned event planners on their own personal events.

The most satisfying part of what I do is gifting my clients with time so they are able to focus on their objectives of their events. I approach every decision as if it was my own personal event, creating trust and long lasting partnerships.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This journey has been the scariest, most exciting, challenging, and fulfilling time of my life. To know that I am walking in my God-given destiny is a great feeling!

In 2016, the company I worked for many years went through a company restructuring and I took the opportunity to focus on Organized Khaos full time. There were a lot of new norms I had to get use to, such as; not getting a paycheck every two weeks, finding my own medical insurance, no paid vacations and living on a leaner budget. At times, it looked really bleak. At one point, I actually decided to give up and go back to work full time, but God! He would not let me give up on this vision that He gave me. This journey has grown my faith by leaps and bounds.

I have a great support system, my mother, pastors, mentors, family and friends who believe in and encourage me to keep going, keep pushing, and keep praying. It has been a journey of learning experiences and I am grateful for the people I have met and relationships I have developed.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Organized Khaos Events story. Tell us more about the business.
Organized Khaos prides itself in offering quality services founded on Integrity and Excellence bringing a fantastic mix of creativity, professionalism, experience, and buoyancy to every aspect of the planning process. We specialize in and have a reputation for, event logistics. Some consider event logistics to be unsexy, but we LOVE it here at Organized Khaos. We LOVE details!

Event Planning is our primary service and Project Management is our secondary service. What sets us apart is our approach to Event Planning and Project Management as there are many parallels between both practices. Depending on the needs of the client, we sometimes borrow methods from one and pair with the other to ensure the vision becomes tangible.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I honestly don’t believe in luck. I do believe in Faith, Seedtime and Harvest. My Faith (the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen) in God keeps me moving toward my goals and vision for this company. The smart work (seeds) that I put into Organized Khaos will lend itself to success (harvest).
