Meet Reggie Garrett of 1st Remedy in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reggie Garrett.

Reggie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
At a young age, I realized that I had an entrepreneurial mindset. Therefore after college, I started a franchise consulting firm. For 14 years, I specialized in helping others achieve successful business ownership. Growing up with a mom in health administration, I always had a desire to help those in need. At the suggestion of a friend already in the healthcare field, 1st Remedy was founded. In the 4 years since we have become a viable force in the industry.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In most aspects, it has been a smooth process. However, our main challenge has been the ever-changing dynamic of health insurance coverage.

1st Remedy – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
1st Remedy partners with the nation’s top pharmacies and laboratories providing ancillary services to improve patient outcomes. I’m doing so, we focus on 3 main areas: Specialty pharmacy, Pharmacogenetics, & genomic cancer screenings. Our pharmacies offer a broad variety of FDA approved products for the non-narcotic treatment of pain, vitamin imbalance, scars, & migraines. We feel strongly that this offers a solution to the current opioid crisis in America.

Our strategic lab partners offer pharmacy genetic testing which allows physicians to be more precise in their diagnosis and treatment protocols. With state of the art genomic cancer screens, we are leading the way to improved lifestyles through innovative healthcare.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is the bi-product of leadership, vision & execution. As CEO, I set the tone for my company and maintaining as high a standard for myself & the company as I can in order to accomplish our goals.
