Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a LEARNING experience. I don’t look at anything as hard, just as a hurdle that may take more time. I’m known to be pretty relentless when it comes to business and I keep an open mind, which has led to wonderful collaborations.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the OnyxQueen Media story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a brand maverick! I dissect brands and formulate ways for them to work at optimal levels. I am a positive storyteller of brands who find it difficult to speak for themselves. I achieve this by putting on epic launch events, getting publicity for my clients and even creating interactive social media campaigns.
My team is known for our ability to blend behind the scenes. We believe in allowing our clients to shine in every positive way possible!
I am most proud of taking the full-time leap into my business and not letting anyone talk me out of it. Many people will doubt that you can live off of your own company and it can be discouraging, but I stuck with it.
What sets OnyxQueen Media apart from other companies is that we are a family! We handle our business, but we celebrate our client wins…on and off the professional court. Many businesses forget that they are working with real people that are going through happy and sad times. We are a shoulder to lean on, as well as a business mentor to count on.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
My industry is definitely taking over with new media. More and more people are looking for products and services through influencers and real-life experiences. Formal commercials are not enough anymore. The new wave is the internet, vlogging, blogging and online platforms like YouTube have become the new black!
