Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhel Sahel.
Rhel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up I always had aspirations to model, entertain and create but I’ve never had clear guidance on how to get my foot in the door. I used to be very active on Twitter and Instagram, as far as posting pictures on a day today. One day I linked with one of my photographer friends and we did one of my very first “professional” shoots. We posted to both social media sites and it brought us a lot of feedback and love.
An agency based out in Atlanta got a hold of the pictures, and well that was my foot in the door. I’m no longer with that agency but I do appreciate the doors it has opened for me, which has lead to other doors. I’ve been a freelance model for about a year just trying to find my way on this little journey of mine. It’s all been scary, exciting but most importantly a learning experience!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth for the most part! The most struggle I’ve had thus far is trusting people. Just because things appear sweet and legit doesn’t mean they are. But I am so grateful for the snakes in the grass because I’ve learned that you have to find yourself a great team because you CANNOT trust everyone.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Rhel Sahel – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I would definitely say I get a lot of rave about my beauty shots and my hair.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
There will be many changes in 2018 alone. Just focusing on which lane fits me best in this industry, branding and being represented by the people who have the same vision as myself.
