Meet Ryan Oliveti of Serenbe Playhouse

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Oliveti.

Ryan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Serenbe was founded 9 years ago with a core mission of connecting art, nature, and community. Year one featured 3 small-scale shows. Flash forward to Season 9, the Playhouse has rented a full fair, landed a helicopter, and is about to sink a boat! We have seen such growth by creating experiences like no other. Our productions tear down walls (literally) to create worlds to immerse yourself in.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing epic and magical is easy! And, creating outdoor, site-specific work is no exception. The Playhouse essentially builds a theatre from the ground up each time we do a production. But, these challenges are what set us apart and bring in audiences! It makes the hardships worth it!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Serenbe Playhouse – what should we know?
Serenbe Playhouse is an outdoor, site-specific theatre professional theatre company committed to producing bold new works and reinvented classics that connect art, nature, and community. We are known for creating experiences that begin at parking and don’t end until our audience is back in their car – a fully immersive experience.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The Playhouse has grown thanks to the leadership of Founder Brian Clowdus! It is because of his vision that the Playhouse has gone national in just 9 years!

My name is Sandra Preau with Shepherds of the Meek Mission. In the past you have donated tickets for our silent auction at our yearly fundraiser, Denim and Diamonds dance. Our dance this year is on November 9th.

I was hoping you could donate tickets again this year.
