Meet Tasheanna Johnson-Rule

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasheanna Johnson-Rule.

Hi Tasheanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Around 2012 I moved to Atlanta, GA from a suburb in Minnesota called Shakopee. Despite the move, my family and I were essentially homeless. We lived with my Aunt from time to time, or in apartments in Summerhill, before eventually ending up living in a shared 1 bedroom in Decatur. Throughout high school, I was determined to see my way out of a very difficult position: homelessness. Our living situations were not the most stable and I knew I would have to care for myself eventually.

In an attempt to discover a way to financial freedom, I started doing everything. I enlisted myself into the military in 2015, became an EMT, and also attended Clayton State University. Unfortunately, many of these pathways I attempted to take did not make me happy. On a mission to discover my true happiness, I left my call center job in 2019 (months before we even heard of a pandemic) and decided to explore what really makes me happy.

The following year did not go as planned but I still remained hopeful. Towards the end of 2020, I decided to jump into the real estate field by exploring my investment opportunities. I had essentially lost everything I owned earlier that year and was eager to apply myself in a way that truly made me happy.

I started watching videos about wholesaling real estate in 2019 but never had the time to actually act on it. In December of 2020, I decided to start researching it again. In January of 2021, I decided to take up free personal assistant work for a loan officer so I could learn more about the real estate field. In February of 2021, I met a network called OTM that specialized specifically in helping people wholesale their property deals.

In 2020, I lost everything. By March of 2021, I ended up making $15,000 off of real estate investments – without a license, without using my own money and without much knowledge of the real estate field. Real estate gave me a true pathway to financial freedom and networking has allowed me to access resources I never had before.

In March of 2021, I decided to create JRRE – my property solutions company. I now handle anything from wholesaling properties to group renovation projects, to securing residential and commercial property contracts for my private investors.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. I spent six years working jobs I hated before I finally had enough courage to step out on faith and try something new. I worked free for a year after the pandemic just so I could expand my network and learn new skills. There were many times I felt like I couldn’t do it and decided to waste more time going back to jobs I hated compared to rerouting my plan. It’s hard relying on yourself to make money but I would rather bet on myself to make myself a millionaire than bet on someone else to do it for me.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
JRRE specializes in providing free property solutions to those that own property, are investors, or are interested in investing into real estate. We raise capital by wholesaling off-market deals to private investors, assisting property owners with finding private firms to purchase their properties, and a few other things. We aim specifically to help spread accurate knowledge and information about real estate and want others to understand that land is your birthright and it doesn’t take a license to understand or invest into real estate.

What’s next?
Our plans for the future revolve around securing more private investors for our networks. We understand the importance of community and are excited to see how our partnerships with other business owners will help change the world.
