Meet Tiffany McKenzie of Vibe Ride

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany McKenzie.

Tiffany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Vibe Ride opened in the spring of 2015. We opened the studio to fill a void that existed amongst fitness studios and gyms of Atlanta. We wanted to bring the fun and diversity that Atlanta represents to a fitness studio. We wanted to embrace all different races, sizes, and sexual orientations in a way that made people feel comfortable to start, continue and be successful in their fitness journeys.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not! But, that’s what makes it interesting and fun, right?

Like any other business, we had to learn how to effectively market and cater to the needs of our clients. Also, since we opened, many other boutique cycling studios have opened. Therefore, we have had to make a conscious effort to differentiate ourselves and stand out from the crowd.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Vibe Ride story. Tell us more about the business.
Vibe Ride is the most dynamic studio in Atlanta with a national diverse fitness community, proprietary cycling technique and its own unique wellness experience. Vibe Ride enables and empowers its members to define fitness for themselves by a building a community dedicated to consistent improvement in an open, supportive, and dynamic environment. We pride ourselves on our principles. (1) Your Fitness, your journey. (2) Fiercely, proudly scrappy and (3) there is strength in inclusiveness.

Our cycling classes are one of a kind! We provide music video classes, live DJs, themed classes, and technology to measure performance.

I am most proud (not to sound cliché), but of our “vibe.” We are proudly diverse and we want to ensure that our messaging and offerings support that. We are not a stuffy gym. Not everyone is skinny wearing Lululemon. We are proud of our differences and our bodies and we are here to support people in their quest to be the best versions of themselves.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Zero. We come from strong faith backgrounds and have been blessed beyond measure.
