Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Henderson.
Haley, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Like most women, I struggled almost all of my life hating my body, fearing “fatness,” and constantly jumping from diet to diet. I was a struggling woman who feared being fat, who’s happiness was based upon how skinny I was or how much I weighed on the scale that day. I felt lonely a lot of the times and always felt I wasn’t enough. I would skip breakfast often, maybe eat some almonds for lunch, and then binge out on potato chips later that night. I hid behind my bubbly personality, blonde hair, and always had to be in a relationship to fulfill me. I treated my body like trash with alcohol and often times with a hit in the stomach here or there. I was always grabbing my mid-section and thighs with hatred. I was always projecting shame and judgment at my body.
I am not sure when the defining moment was, maybe it was the time I caught myself buying laxatives to “finally become skinny,” but there was a point where I knew I was miserable and not healthy. I had been hurting my body more than I thought. I began hearing, “You are more than your body.” It was a very slow journey that I began healing my relationship with food and my body. I had to number one, EAT, and number two, rewrite and reframe my thoughts around food and my body.
Losing weight and achieving the perfect body is the ONLY thing we heard growing up. I am here to change the narrative. To bring body liberation to the forefront. To enjoy eating again and normalize it. For women to know they can be healthy no matter what size or the weight they are. I became a Confidence Coach because CONFIDENCE is the result of this healing process. I teach women how to become confident in their bodies, their eating, and their health. I help women embrace their present bodies, debunk their beliefs that the diet industry has forced upon them, and reclaim their power that the same damn industry has stolen from us.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Haha. No. Absolutely not. This journey of mine is never-ending but I will tell you that it feels and looks better on this side. I am no longer counting calories, obsessing about my weight, sending hatred towards my body. I now enjoy food and don’t give a damn about how my body looks in a bathing suit. I just live and I live well.
My advice for other women who are just starting their journey with healing their relationship with food and their body is to first, surrender. Surrender to food so that it no longer has power over you. You must eat to survive.
For entrepreneurial advice…
There will never be a time where you are ready… you just have to take the risk and jump in, full-body, soul, mind, and energy.

Do you feel like there was something about the experiences you had growing up that played an outsized role in setting you up for success later in life?
I have always, ever since I was a kid, had a giving spirit. If you got hurt on the playground, I was the first one there comforting you. Even if I didn’t know you and I saw that you were down, I would say encouraging words to lift you up. I have always felt connected to truly helping people. Never in a million years did I think I would have built a business doing just that! It is truly inspiring.
