Meet Trailblazer Jestacia Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jestacia Jones.

Jestacia, please share your story with us.
Wholistic Enrichment Educator/Author…

Thinking back, my journey started from very humble beginnings. Raised to walk in faith- I never understood what that meant until my teenaged years.

I knew I had to decide quickly which path- and direction I wanted my life to take.

I made a list of 3 options and began to research and explore each.

My heart landed on my passion and calling for people, natural beauty and well being in all things.

My days in entertainment, fashion, beauty, and tv opened doors and opportunities that I would have never imagined.

These days, I spend my time developing healing treatments for preventative care – and for cancer patients; as well as- sharing self-help tips for personal development inside

In 2011, The J’Lore Foundation was formed to make resources available for those who could not afford alternative care solutions.

During this time, I found an even greater need in the community… a need for basics – such as food, enrichment opportunities, etc.

Today, we provide advanced enrichment for youth- strengthen our communities at the core; while providing online training for professional and personal growth.

The J’Lore Foundation serves the community by offering holistic enrichment training, and development for women and youth. Through various ministry workshops and technology programs. Jestacia has written a series of self-care journals and a host of media programs. She was nominated for the 2017 Non-Profit Trinity Awards. She developed The e3 Tech Youth Program forming partnerships with Panera Bread, The Apple Store, Microsoft and the Aviation community just to name a few. With over a decade of experience in film, TV, and entertainment- she enjoys the calm of her next chapter, pursuing a Ph.D. in alternative medicine and developing alternative therapies. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been times when I had to practiced what I preach – and put my training to work.

Emotional trauma.
A high-risk pregnancy.
Dealing with loss.

Best advice… do the work!

Take time to manage and work on yourself. As women, we nurture and care for others – while neglecting ourselves.

The lack of self-care will show itself – in how we deal with others, and in our overall well being.

We are worth the time, it takes to take a deep breath, and exhale.

Let it Go – and Grow!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The J’Lore Foundation – what should we know?
As a minister and self-care healer – I help others to reclaim SELF.

By providing tools (herbal remedies) that I personally blend – teaching others how to walk out being well… and beautiful – from the inside out!

Finding a mentor and building a network are often cited in studies as a major factor impacting one’s success. Do you have any advice or lessons to share regarding finding a mentor or networking in general?
Be sincere – or very clear about your vision and direction. The right person will help you.

Be serious about your goals – don’t waste other’s time.

Time is money – mentoring is beautiful when the two can agree and flow.

Sometimes, you will learn from others at your fingertips (virtually). No excuses these days.

People want to see – that you are willing to do the work. It pays off! Smile.
