Meet Trailblazer Shannon Dee Walker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Dee Walker.

Shannon Dee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got to where I am today by simply growing and pushing myself to be my best self as well as to live up to my full potential at every stage of my life. I have both a corporate career in project management and an entrepreneurial career and truly enjoy all that I get to do. I started my entrepreneurial career in college. I loved writing and modeling and promoting brands and events and setting up events as well as just business in general. I was a model and brand ambassador for many large companies and brands and worked many of their events. This led me to now having a Beauty & Lifestyle Brand called Shandeeny’s of my own which offers several boutiques of products… makeup- VIC Cosmetics- where I am an independent beauty consultant (vegan and cruelty free makeup), jewelry- “Beautifully Adorned” Jewelry- where I am an independent consultant of Paparazzi (lead free and hypoallergenic jewelry), clothing- Shandeeny’s (caters to the trendy and career-oriented parents and children), hair extensions- Flair For Hair by Shandeeny’s (luxury hair extensions, wigs, mink lashes and edge control), and a travel agency- Elysian Lifestyle Travel. I am also an Author and certified Etiquette Coach. I specialize in dining etiquette.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I’ve had to overcome much in life and in my journey. My vision for my life and business is so large to me. Because I am so authentic and unique I struggled with manifesting my vision with not having a game plan to follow for creating my niche or business. I have had assistance in different areas that have helped guide me in structuring my business but no one to say exactly this is what you should do and how you should do it to bring about your vision. I’ve also struggled with the financial aspects of owning and funding a business and just balancing my personal life with my career. It’s important to not only have balance but to manage your time well and to take things a day at a time. Time management is so very important it is imperative to have a plan to manage yourself. Work hard, play hard, practice self-care and show yourself grace. Your journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Treat it as though you are working towards excellence for the long haul.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a lifestyle branding specialist. I am an author and business owner. My brand deals with my lifestyle and I also teach others how to brand their lifestyle as well. I believe in excellence and my goal is to teach generational wealth and financial freedom and how to goal set and acquire streams of revenue. I am most proud of the constant growth of my brand and my personal development. I am totally authentically me and my brand and niche shows my particular spin on things. I have done speaking and coaching but truly enjoy being in the background and learning about business and running my business.

Which women have inspired you in your life?
There are so many specific women that have inspired me it is hard to say names. Beginning with my Mother. I would just say any woman who is strong and about her business and not afraid to be herself and learn and grow and overcome things in her life and become stronger due to her experiences inspires me. If you can embrace your journey and lift others as well you are an inspiration.
