Meet Yancy Wilson of OmQuest in Hampton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yancy Wilson.

Yancy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2015, I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. After the diagnosis, I found myself at a crossroad: do I continue living the way I’ve been living or do, I choose a healing journey to reverse my diagnosis and live with purpose? I chose the healing journey. It was my choices that got me into this mess and it’s going to be the choices that will get me out of it. Now, I had to figure out how I was gonna make this happen. When I chose this path, the universe, God, whatever you wanna call the universal intelligence, began to place information in my mind to help me achieve my wellness goal. I came up with a plan of attack which focused on the three pillars of life: mind, body, and soul.

MIND: I began to work on my mindset. To make it stronger. I had to educate myself on what CHF was & how to reverse it. Read, and continue to read, books on knowledge of self.

BODY: I had to become aware of that I allowed in my body. I became a vegan. I stopped cigarettes. I stopped drinking. I stopped extra curricular activities.

Began exercising/physical activity.

SOUL: Began a better relationship with the creator. Meditation.
It was not easy at times but I knew it was/is worth it. I also came to the understanding that I was meant to be here. I had a purpose. I knew I had to help others. I created a company called The Purpose Fueled Palate whose main focus was creating vegan versions of familiar foods with a minor in public speaking. After some time, I realized that I wanted to teach people my healing process as a whole. I came to find out there was a name for it, holistic healing. I became a student of IIN to get a broader understanding of exactly what that meant. TPFP has now blossomed in OmQuest Wellness and Holistic Healing. OmQuest holistically helps people become aware and harness the power of self in order to achieve major/minor goals and manifest dreams and aspirations. The official title would be “A transformation coach.”

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. I have struggled with addiction before, during and after my diagnosis. Due to my growth, relationships with friends and family have “changed” as well. Part of the process of healing is being 100% honest with yourself. This involves facing your deepest issues and dealing with them. This hurt. Tears were shed.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about OmQuest – what should we know?
OmQuest is a holistic wellness and healing company. I help people transform their lives. I specialize in helping people awaken their greatness and harness their infinite potential. What makes me the proudest about this company is the potential it has to help change the world. We are helping folks plant and nourish seeds that we may never see fully grow but it’s the process that matters. What sets me apart from others is that I’ve lived what I’m talking about. I’ve reversed CHF. I’ve overcome addiction. I’ve done it and I’m still doing it.

My approach to transformation is fluid. It’s constantly changing and evolving as I continue to learn about wellness. This is not a cookie cutter company.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Empathy and compassion.
