Rising Stars: Meet Zeus Da Comedian

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zeus Da Comedian.

Hi Zeus, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I guess the story can start about me getting into the entertainment industry. I am the CEO of Street Ambitionz Entertainment which was started in 2006. At that time, I was behind the scenes managing two groups New Bred Soldiers and All or Nothing (my teenage group). I’m 2006 both groups received local success with All or Nothings hit single and dance Spongebobbin and New Bred Solders “Smile”. From 2006-2012 the label produces more singles and a few mixtapes. Around 2016 I myself stepped away from managing and soon started one of the first podcasts in Columbus Georgia the award-winning Match One Podcast. From 2016-2020 the podcast became a big deal for street Ambitionz around 2017 is when I took the Zeus character from the Match One Podcast and the Zeus Da comedian was born from there I have awards from my standup and my parody songs. I have been doing standup acting and directing skits and shows in the Columbus, Georgia area since 2017 but I have been in the entertainment industry since 2006.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road as a comedian is definitely challenge one coming from Columbus Georgia. As a standup, we don’t have many comedy outlets here so we have to make our own shows and do a lot of traveling sometimes just to get 5 mins on the stage. If the road was easy, I don’t think we would appreciate the journey as much. Besides the traveling balancing everything your regular work schedule, I have five kids and a wife so if they have events. When directing making sure the cast is all there and even recording podcasts the editing and all things that’s come along with that.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m very known as a stand-up comedian/ entertainer. I don’t just tell jokes I have a lot of parodies that I have created that’s really gives people a show when they come to see me. I’m most proud of one of my tri-city award in my city because it showed my hard work as being noticed but more importantly, my kids thanking I’m the funniest person alive.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Only advice I have is to never stop and always work on your craft and make sure you really learn social media. Being a standup is not just getting on the stage anymore you have to find yourself on social media also. The one thing I wish I knew was that I understand my gift earlier. I was told early on to try to stand up but my confidence was not there.
