Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Gholson and Melvin Coleman.
Twisted Fabrik was born from our awareness of the lack of inclusiveness in the fashion world. At the conception of the brand, both creators of Twisted Fabrik were severely obese. Kevin weighed 314lbs and Melvin weighed in at 409lbs. We found at that time, shopping to fit our bodies was unpleasant and the options were pretty dull. Fed up with this, we set out to create a brand that embraces all.
As we have embarked on this journey of building a brand and navigating everyday life, the importance of health & fitness became more clear. In order to stay sharp and energized we begin a daily fitness regimen that included healthy eating, cardio, and weight training.
Over the course of three years combined, we’ve lost over 236lbs and recently had the opportunity to show our collection in Small Boutique Fashion Week.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has most definitely not been easy. Building a brand comes with many ups and down. The key to surviving the challenges is to always have a clear vision of your brand and a high level of self-awareness.
One of the struggles Twisted Fabrik has and is currently experiencing is balancing our Professional careers versus our Personal Business.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Twisted Fabrik Inc. story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a brand that promotes an all-inclusive fashion state of mind. We strive to maintain innovative designs while creating FRESH, STYLISH & EDGY looks. All items are designed and created with the ” Fashion Rebel ” in mind by “Twisting” fabrics, colors, & silhouettes for all.
Twisted Fabrik designs Men’s and Women Wear.
Twisted Fabrik specializes in both Men and Women Fashion.
One of the proudest moments thus far has been seeing our fashions come down the runway, draped on beautiful models.

Honestly speaking we don’t contribute luck to success or the lack of success. Team Twisted is grounded on the strong conviction that if you can dream it, it can be. Twisted Fabrik the brand was created from a dream and with that vision came hard work and dedication. Team Twisted is still growing and learning daily.
