Today we’d like to introduce you to Barbara Rahn RN, CPCP.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My background is in oncology nursing at University Hospital in Cincinnati. I have had two major spinal fusions. My medical issues made it necessary for me to find a field that would enable me to continue to work with patients but was less stressful to my back. I became interested in the field of cosmetic tattooing when I had my own makeup done by a nurse in the St. Louis area many years ago. I am definitely a “people” person. This field allowed me to continue to care for clients and patients but also use my creative skills to make a difference in the lives of others.
I have been fortunate in that I have been able to travel and train with some of the best instructors in the world. I believe in continued learning and attend classes and workshops several times per year. I am truly passionate and stay on the leading edge of techniques and technologies in the field. I am also an active member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and certified by this outstanding organization. I have earned the award for achieving the highest score on the CPCP exam. This exam is administered throughout the United States and Internationally.
I specialize in permanent makeup and 3D areola tattooing for breast cancer survivors. I enjoy working with alopecia patients, burn survivors and others who can benefit from cosmetic tattooing.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, this has not been easy. I have worked tirelessly to provide the best care for my patients and clients.
This field requires thousands of hours of study and practice. It is not a field that one can learn by taking a two-day class. Patients and clients need to feel secure that the professional they have chosen will provide the best quality care available.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Enhanced Beauty Permanent Makeup & Medical Pigmentation – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I work in a medical setting only. I am a registered nurse and do a complete medical history on each and every client and patient. I provide a medically safe procedure with beautiful artistry. Clients and patients know they are in good hands in my office.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
BEST….the cultural diversity, excellent restaurants, the southern hospitality, weather and exciting things to do.
WORST….Same thing that everyone answers, THE TRAFFIC!!!! I take MARTA whenever possible and have discovered the WAZE App to beat the traffic flow!!!! My office is actually walking distance from the Sandy Springs Marta Station.
