Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, life has a way of throwing curve balls, there have definitely been some hills to climb. My biggest obstacle was when I got in a car accident as I was headed to my attorney’s office years ago. I had a deal on the table with both Sony Records and Warner Brothers, but an accident on the way there ended my hopes and dreams and left me drinking from a straw for six months.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Artists Rock the MIC – what should we know?
Well, most people know me as an International artist and songwriter, but I’m so much more than that. I formed my nonprofit organization Artists Rock the Mic (Motivating Individuals in the Community) to give back to the homeless college students. We throw concerts bringing awareness as well as offering support. I think that’s what sets my business apart from others. A national recording artist, as well as independent, unite to give back.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe my best quality is the fact that I genuinely care. I’m back in college myself and I can tell you now, it would be impossible for me to maintain my 3.8 GPA Honors, not knowing where I was going to lay my head at night or what I was going to eat. People don’t see behind the scenes, I back up everything I do, by putting in the work and giving it my all.
