Today we’d like to introduce you to Mona Ali.

Mona, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Before opening a salon of my own I was a frequent salon and spa service patron at several different establishments. As a client, I have always desired a place where I could receive all of my spa and salon services in one convenient setting. This is when I came up with the idea to open a full-service salon and day spa accommodating all services from haircuts, custom color, and styles to skincare and nail care services. My vision was to create a beautiful and relaxing one-stop shop where I could educate my clients and inspire them by enhancing their beauty and building their confidence. Regency Salon Spa is now two years in the making and my team and I have created a culture that is welcoming to our clients instilling the confidence that the integrity of their hair, skin, and nails will be our first priority. It is very important that each and every client that walks in will get the undivided attention that they desire and deserve. Throughout the past two years, Regency Salon Spa has become a wonderful place to treat a growing clientele. It is wonderful to see my dream become a reality right before my eyes.

Has it been a smooth road?
Opening a business from scratch is exciting but is indeed a bumpy road. It takes a constant effort to have things in control and to stay on top of everything in a timely manner. Overall management of employees to client retention to daily operations seem never-ending. However, it is very rewarding to begin to see growth in the employees and returning clients. Success doesn’t happen overnight, consistency is key. Patience is very important as well because obstacles are always coming your way. Most importantly upholding your vision is what will keep you motivated and create a culture that your clients will notice and return for. Personalized service is what keeps our clients talking. Word of mouth has been our very best source of marketing.

Regency Salon Spa is a one stop shop. We are a full-service salon and spa offering services for hair, skin, nails. We have also added massage services. Here at Regency personalized service is our specialty. The integrity and health of the hair, skin, and nails are our first priority. We give each and every client our personal and undivided attention. We educate our employee with training to keep their skills current so that they, in turn, can educate the clients. As a company, we are most proud of our quality service and our highly skilled and professional staff.

In a constantly growing city such as ours, opening a salon business can absolutely be a great opportunity for someone who is just starting out. This city is constantly growing and has a very broad and diverse demographic. Someone with a great innovative idea and a desire to put the work in can be very successful here.
