Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Hood and Vae Evans.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am the founder of Vae’s Lemonade, founder of the I’m MAD Project (Making A Difference) and Author of Vae’s REAL Life Fairytale (Children’s book).
I started Vae’s Lemonade for my daughter Vae Evans when she was just one month old. I wanted to put her in a position to ONLY work for herself at a very young age in life. I remember quiting my waitress job to follow my dreams on 02/12/16 and eight days later 02/20/16 finding out I was pregnant with Vae. Honestly, I was so scared as I had never been a mom before. Now I realize that she is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and she is my “WHY”.
Within Vae’s lemonade we specialize in freshly squeezed fruit-infused lemonade. A typical days work for us is taking our mobile lemonade bar/stand and setting up at an event/festival in the Atlanta area, and serving up some delicious lemonade. Two of our signature flavors are “Princess Perfect Paradise” and “Prince Charming Chiller”.
I am a firm believer in aiming towards making a difference in all that I do. Having this goal in mind is what prompted me to start The I’m MAD Project, where I do random acts of kindness to make someone’s day. For example, I will do a random giveaway on social media or just surprise someone and take them lunch. I believe that it’s the small things that make a big impact!
I remember always wanting to write a children’s book so I decided to write my first book “Vae’s REAL Life Fairytale” inspired by my daughter Vae. It is a children’s book meant to inspire young readers all over the world to follow their dreams in life. It gives an inside look of the accomplishments Vae has made so far in life. Vae’s REAL Life Fairytale was written when she was one years old and she is currently two years old. At the very end of the book, there are a couple of activities that will help motivate them to think of affirmations for themselves along with creating a vision board for their goals in life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of the struggles along the way has been me working on not getting discourage when I don’t get the support I believe I deserve. Also just trying to find the right events that will be beneficial and profitable towards the business.

Vae’s Lemonade is a company that offers freshly squeezed fruit-infused lemonade. We specialize in creating fruit-infused lemonade made out of all natural ingredients from the fruit that is used down to the sweetener.
We are known for our brightly colored set up and that our Co CEO is a little girl named Vae that is two years old.
I am most proud of the fact that the Co CEO is only two years old, that everyone always compliments us on our set up at different events, and that people remember us from our events. For example, I can be at a different event and people will walk up to me and say “hey Vae’s lemonade I remember you from this event or that event etc.”
What sets us apart from others is that we have a kid-friendly lemonade bar that kids can walk up to and order their delicious tasting lemonade drinks.
Lastly, we always have copies of Vae’s REAL Life Fairytale (book) on hand so that patrons can purchase autographed copies.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would worry less about the people who are not supporting and focus more on the people that are supporting.
