Meet Trailblazer Caitlin Beadles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Beadles.

Caitlin, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story began in 2006 after a life-threatening battle of salmonella poisoning that hosted in my organs and caused my organs and body to shut down. I missed a whole year of school and took years to recover as I am still not fully recovered from the damage it caused. Thinking that was the worst experience of my life! But then in 2009, I was in a tragic accident while riding a jet ski. After falling off in the water and getting run over by a speed boat, my life changed forever. Many years of surgeries and rehabilitation, I’m finding my new normal. I run a non-profit animal rescue called Caitlin’s Vine Of Bravery. I take dogs who have medical needs that most people give up on. I rehabilitate them and adopt them out. Training some of them to be emotional support dogs and matching them with people who have also been through a tragic accident or traumatic experience. I have recently started a Christian Ministry called Make Him Famous. I want to empower others to find and embrace who they are in Christ so they can let go of any “God-limiting“ lies the enemy has them trapped in believing and also bring awareness and education to mental health. We will be going on tour to different locations around the world where we will have different aspiring artists, influencers and people sharing their testimonies and what God has on their heart to share.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This has been the most difficult season in my life, but I finally feel as if I’m discovering my true calling in life. Since the accident, I struggle with many chronic illnesses and was left handicapped for life. Every day is a blessing to be alive. I’m learning to see the good in all situations. Although it’s been a long painful process, it has made me stronger in my faith. Trusting, believing and never giving up. My advice to young girls would be to find their calling in life and pursue it with passion. Persevering through all the hard times and celebrating all the good times.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I run a nonprofit dog rescue called Caitlin’s Vine Of Bravery. I rescue abused, neglected, injured, and sick dogs and rehabilitate them back to health. I rescue the dogs that nobody wants to save because of their expensive medical bills or behavioral problems as a result of being abused. I try and match the dogs up with people who have similar stories of abuse, illness or injury. My goal is to have a facility to house the dogs and provide them with a sanctuary to live at until they find their forever homes. My dream is to open up a healing center next door from the rescue for people to come to for healing from their traumas and to experience a breakthrough while discovering the path to a better future. The rescue dogs next door would be trained as therapy dogs and each person will get to pick out which dog they would like to live in their housing and take to therapy with them.

I am proud that I have been able to rescue almost 300 dogs within the past two years all on my own. I mainly use my own money to provide for them as I am a small rescue and don’t get many donations. Unfortunately, money runs out so I have had to limit the number of dogs I can rescue at a time until I can raise more donations for their care.

Most rescues have many volunteers and staff so I think my rescue stands out because I run everything on my own with zero staff or committed volunteers.

I have recently started a Christian Ministry called Make HIM Famous. We are a group of young adults who are dedicating our lives to the purpose God has given us; to know Jesus and to make Him known. We will be going on tour this summer to different places around the world sharing encouraging testimonies and having different aspiring artists leading worship.

I also have a clothing line for both my rescue and ministry.

I am also in the process of completing the book of my life story.

Finding a mentor and building a network are often cited in studies as a major factor impacting one’s success. Do you have any advice or lessons to share regarding finding a mentor or networking in general?
I never have really had a mentor or someone guide me down the paths I have taken. I have just taken a leap of faith because of what I have felt called to do and God did the rest.
