Today we’d like to introduce you to Famya and Zeeq Divine.
Famya and Zeeq, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Our journey began when Zeeq lost his job and we were in college concerned about how we were going to get by. Zeeq has got offered a job opportunity for a Dunkin Donuts which he initially thought was for a manager position, and on the way to the interview we discovered it was for an employee position understanding that he was way overqualified for the position, we skip going to the interview and go to little five points instead. When we arrive the spirit led us to a local craftsman, and we love his work and we get into a beautiful conversation. At the end of our conversation, this mysterious master craftsman offers Zeeq an opportunity to be his apprentice and learn the craft himself. And then Zeeq learning and funneling the knowledge down to me, Famya, a painter and was currently in school for photography.
Since meeting our teacher Ahmahtsiyahu, we have kicked off our entrepreneur lifestyle from vending at almost every hot venue and party in ATL. To having our pieces on some ATLs finest like KRS One, Keri Hilson, Tarij p. Henson, Sampra. We have become a dynamic duo. Mixing the hustle and beautiful craftsmanship with cutting edge design and holistic healing. Our passion and fashion set us apart. And our soul and desire to heal keep our audience in love.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Absolutely hasn’t been a smooth road, with a lot of confused looks and misunderstanding when we tell people we’re jewelry designers, especially people we’ve known. We were especially tried after we found out we were pregnant this year and needed to earn enough money to pay for a new home, water birth, and baby related items. While continuing to follow our dreams and build our business. Lots of people doubted us and told us to give up. We used the energy to force us into learning how to actually run a business through and through. Meaning learning about inventory list, quotas, and pushing our brand to every different height possible. And the greatest part is. We accomplished it! We went from homeless to in a beautiful apartment right in the area we wanted to live, and our business steady and respected, and a beautiful baby boy! It was a strong testimony that showed us we can do it all! If we focus & align! Nothing is impossible.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would become more efficient faster. I would of already made the investments such as website, business cards LLC.
