Meet Louis Dancer and Patrick Holmes of ElevateTH Staffing in Smyrna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Louis Dancer and Patrick Holmes.

After years of working for and managing small to large fortune 500 staffing agencies, Founders/Owners Louis A. Dancer and Patrick Holmes decided to establish their own staffing firm, ElevateTH Staffing. The TH in their name stands for TO Him, as our foundation is to elevate everyone we encounter to GOD in all of our business practices. Both mirrored some of the best practices from those staffing agencies and created their own identity through ElevateTH Staffing. Louis and Patrick decided to eliminate the bureaucracy and red tape they experienced while working for the larger staffing firms with some key differentiators. Their primary goal was to get the most qualified associate to their client partners in the shortest amount of time.
Realizing the longer it takes to get the right associate to a client, is costing the client money [Opportunity Cost]. The concept of being available to their clients 24/7 is not a concept with ElevateTH Staffing, it’s a reality. Louis and Patrick live and breathe being available to their external and internal clients 24/7. Every team member with ElevateTH Staffing shares the same philosophy. They apply their mission by creating their business principles and they practice upon them. Louis and Patrick measure Elevate’s success, one client at a time. Additionally, their service philosophy may seem simple but it has deemed to be a staple to their client partners in that they will not send an ElevateTH Staffing Associate that they would not send to themselves.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
New ideas create new pessimists. It is not every day that you see two African-American men thriving with a new business. While there were individuals that wanted us to succeed, there were individuals that wanted us to fail. We channeled their negativity as motivation. Louis recalls the time where one of his own Morehouse College brothers dismissed him from holding career and development workshops due to the individual’s jealousy and envy. In contrast, Patrick was faced with the constant reminder that he was working with a young man who was new to the industry and consistently reminded of the fact that he might be the hindrance to his overall success.

Moreover, the obstacles of getting the funding and required insurances as a new entity caused us a great deal of stress and almost hindered us from getting our new business venture started. Putting doubt and those obstacles aside, the two motivated each other by reminding themselves that they would, eventually, become an inspiration to young African-American business owners that desired to create their own lane.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
At ElevateTH Staffing, our goal is to increase wealth for all of our internal and external stakeholders by providing innovative, best in class staffing and human capital management solutions. This is achieved by employing high performing people with high integrity that passionately aspire to deliver superior quality and service to our customers. We strive to remain a respected and sought-after partner by executing focused, customized solutions that improve our clients’ profits while offering enriching as well as rewarding employment opportunities to our associates. Louis and Patrick are known for being available to our clients 24/7 which may sound cliche, however, we truly hold ourselves accountable and true to this major service differentiator. While our competitors are sleeping and their client partners are in need of service, they can always reach an ElevateTH Staffing team member. We don’t put our office phone numbers on our business cards, our cell phone numbers are listed. We sleep with our cell phone on and on our nightstands with a ring tone that will wake a sleeping giant.

Additionally, we are known for getting it right the first time in terms of our temp associate selection by staying true to our mission. We won’t send a temp associate to a client that we would not send to ourselves. Moreover, we have a 20-minute rule in that we respond to all client partners and temp associates within that time frame. We have a system of checks and balances in which the three senior-level executives are copied on all emails from clients and temp associates so that a no call or email is ever missed and the 20-minute rule stays intact. We truly are different and ask all client partners to give us an opportunity to show them how we are different and to give us an opportunity to compete for their business. For our temp associates, we treat them as if they are one of our internal team members and include this statement in all of our orientations. We on the ElevateTH side of the counter can often be one paycheck away from being on the other side of the counter. Therefore we treat our temp associates in the same manner we want to be treated.

What were you like growing up?
Patrick always wanted to be a professional football player and would have done so, being a top-rated athlete in New Jersey. Additionally, he had many scholarships to go play football a major universities. His girlfriend got pregnant during his senior year of high school which left him with a major decision to make, Either stay home and be the parent to his child, that traditional mindset says he should do or go away and pursue his lifelong dream of being a professional football player. Patrick decided to mirror his father’s plight and decided to forgo his scholarship offers and dreams to be a parent to his child and marry his high school sweetheart.

Much to the dismay of his Father who wanted him to take the football scholarship pursue his dreams. If he had a chance to do it all over again, he would have took the football scholarships and pursued his dream of becoming a professional football player. He would have worked throughout his college tenure and supported his son remotely. He regrets his decision and have seen several athletes that he played with and against make it to the National Football league as professional athletes. Louis, on the other hand, is an individual that lives with the motto “no regrets.” To him, every life experience is a learning lesson and a chance to grow.
