Rain, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hey! I’m RainBloggedIt or Rain. I’m a first generation American. My mother is from Liberia in West Africa. Music was always around us. From R&B to Rap to rock to Liberian music. I always loved music and I always had a passion for writing. I would always write short stories and sometimes TV shows. Starting in 2009 I would go online and check out the music blogs such as 2DopeBoyz + Illroots + OnSmash + RapRadar etc. I created my own site RainBloggedIt.com in 2009. At first is was just trying to be like the other sites instead of branding myself. So I stopped. A year later I got inspired by PatIsDope to cover only GA artists. From there I got into social media management + PR work and event coordination.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it hasn’t been smooth. No goal is going to be easy. Some of the struggles I’ve had is wondering if I’m moving in the right direction or I’m helping the artists of Atlanta the correct way. Being a first generation creative isn’t always easy.

I am the founder of RainBloggedIt.com started at age 15 years old est. 2009. I’m a freelance Publicist + Freelance Blogger. I work with indie brands such as + @enorecordings + Infinite Imagination Media + FreeDopeGang + StessoGang. My clients are @YoungMax400 + @34Kel_. I specialize in digital content. I’m most proud of creating an online space where indie artists can show their work. What sets me apart from others is that my only focus for my site is Georgia indie artists.
