Today we’d like to introduce you to Spencer T. Peterson.
Spencer, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I graduated from Georgia State University with a B.S. in Managerial Science in 2011. From there, I worked in public relations, management, sales, and human resources. Sales is an industry that came natural to me and I’m an avid believer in pursuing your God-given strengths. In 2017, I took a sales role while completing my real estate courses online. Upon passing the real estate exam, I resigned from my 9 to 5 and haven’t looked back since.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not! I’m the type of person who likes to plan ahead. I knew that upon passing my real estate exam, I was going to go to the firm I’d selected and be this huge rock star, but I was sadly mistaken. Quality training and a strong support system are vital tools towards success in this business. I was able to learn from my mistakes and adjust my behavior quickly, which led me where I am today. Despite the obstacles I faced along the way, I made it a personal goal to stay the course. As a Man of faith, I understand that God is ordering my steps and every setback is a set up for a greater victory.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Keller Williams Buckhead REALTOR story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m a licensed Georgia REALTOR with Keller Williams Buckhead. I specialize in buying, selling, investing, property management and new construction. Much of the beginning of my career was geared towards investors since that’s a passion of mine. Now I market myself as a One-Stop-Shop for all things real estate in Georgia. I’ve successfully closed short-sales, foreclosures, for-sale-by-owner deals and new construction throughout my real estate career.
As a company, I’m most proud of the great team I’m currently apart of. Not only has The Rawls Group been recognized as the #1 Residential Real Estate Company in Atlanta five-years in a row by the Atlanta Business Chronicles, but when it comes to training, Keller Williams is first-class!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck, however, I do believe in favor. Statistics will show that the average real estate agent leaves the industry within the first two-years. My definition of favor is God’s undeserving blessing. Favor has kept me when I should’ve been taken out and has carried me thru the highs and lows inherit in this industry. Favor will also continue to keep me as my career soars to unimaginable heights.
