Today we’d like to introduce you to Camilla Banks.
Camilla, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all starts with inspiration. The love of furniture and interior design, the appreciation for fabric textures, metal works, and wood crafting. When you look within the elements as art forms, the enlightenment of open spaces are best used as blank canvases. The few impressions of appreciation developed at the start of HollandLuxe. It was simply going to homes around the Atlanta area, getting inspired by the furnishings or the architecture. The integrity of my art form was gifted to me by an artisan, Arthur Bailey, who taught me the difference in building quality furnishings. I used to work at his shop as an intern on early Saturday mornings. It was hard work but the integrity of his furnishings helped me learn why.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It absolutely has not been an easy road. I’ve worked three jobs and hustle to support my business. I’ve asked for opportunities and have been turned away countless amounts of times. I’ve started over time and time again, I’ve rebranded, and I’ve restructured. Finally, I began seeing results as my consistency became apparent, and eventually, I was able to become a full-time entrepreneur.
Please tell us about HollandLUXE.
I have designed and created pieces from farmhouse dining tables, beds with headboards six feet high, and have become champions in rustic-staining. Our materials are hand-picked by choice to ensure quality control. Over the years, HollandLUXE has been afforded the opportunity to create and deliver stunning home furnishings to clients of all types, both near and far. Our specialty is custom commercial furnishings for local businesses, I manufacture very little residential projects, but I still love to do them if they want a statement piece. The main thing that sets us apart is priding ourselves in providing excellent client service. Our newest future endeavor is our staple READY-MADE furniture line available online at HollandLUXE.com.
In 2017, I launched HollandLUXE Properties. For those who have yet to find the “perfect” space, HollandLUXE Properties can help. HollandLUXE Properties is a real estate subsidiary within HollandLuxe, dedicated to listening to our client’s customary home and space desires. This method of truly matching them to the home of their dreams. HollandLUXE Properties is not just a real estate company, but a “Space Matchmaker.”
It is humbling and gratifying to continually be inspired by the notion of our existence, to help bring our clients’ visions to life. I am so grateful for continued opportunities to grow rich in art, new concepts, and investing in the true meaning of home. By manufacturing furnishings without limitations, I created our own essential elements of matchmaking the ideal home, client satisfaction, and standing behind our values of HollandLUXE.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have lived my brand freely, with no limitations, no fear and remember that DONE IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN PERFECT!
