Meet Jordan Mills of Fully Clothed in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Mills.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jordan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My name is Jordan P. Mills. The P stands for Paige. Except I don’t like when people call me Paige. I just like Jordan and that’s all. Formally known as “ThePurposePaige” or “Paiges.Of.Life” on social media. I recently retired from both names and chose one that suits me the best. I now go by “Paiges Of Jordan” online simply because it expresses the message I want to share with the world. I believe everyone’s life is parallel to a book, we all have stories to tell, and each page of our book is uniquely written.

I grew up in a single-parent household with my mom and two siblings. My sister being the oldest, my brother as the youngest, and me as the middle child of three children. While attending school growing up, my brother played a lot of sports, my sister was in the top of her class and took accelerated courses, and then there was me. Not athletic enough to play sports, and not advanced enough to take accelerated classes, my creativity is what set me apart from siblings. I discovered my creative talents at the age of thirteen when I taught myself how to customize and code my own Myspace page. In addition, I taught myself how to edit pictures and videos. As a child, I was a dreamer and always dreamed about my future and becoming someone of great influence. From aspirations of becoming a singer to a daycare owner to a graphic designer to a fashion stylist, and a filmmaker, I always knew I was too creative to have a 9-5.

In 2015, I went through a setback of getting accepted into my dream school SCAD (Savannah College of Art And Design) to pursue my career as a fashion buyer, and not being able to attend because I couldn’t afford it. Three years later, as of 2018, I birthed “Fully Clothed” and became an official business owner in Georgia and now I am a fashion buyer for my own business. I went from a little girl with dreams to a woman with a vision. I got serious about my purpose, I became intentional about my message, and I discovered what my true mission on Earth is which is to raise the status quo for women to share their stories with style by remaining confident, staying true to themselves, and going after the things they are passionate about. The lessons I had to learn, the setbacks I had to endure, and the journey I had to take to get me to this point, was all apart of God’s plan for my life and was preparing me for this moment of my life. Emphasizing my middle name “Paige”, I know that the pages of my life story aren’t ordinary, but I believe that is what makes my story different.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to my journey hasn’t been smooth. A few struggles that I’ve dealt with on my journey was having lack of direction, lack of resources, and lack of motivation. Not having direction was a big obstacle for me because I didn’t know what I was doing or where to start. I lacked resources because I was uneducated and unfamiliar in knowing where to find the right people and the right resources to connect myself to and I also lacked motivation because I started comparing myself to other businesses on social media, making me feel like my business wasn’t good enough.

As a result of this, I decided to take a hiatus from social media. I left for four months and utilized my time away to realign my mind, regroup my ideas, and reevaluate my vision and goals for myself and my business. My hiatus was everything I needed to help me overcome the struggles and challenges that I was dealing with and I was back and better when I decided to reactivate my social media accounts.

Many times I’ve wanted to quit and throw in the towel on my dreams, not because I wanted to, but because it was challenging. Things haven’t always worked in my favor or gone how I planned them to go and that has been very discouraging for me. I’ve lost relationships, money, sleep, my social life, and friendships, but I don’t count them as losses, because the lessons from them has made a better person and business owner because of it.

Fully Clothed – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Ahhh, the question I’ve been waiting for! The name of my business is called “Fully Clothed.” It was officially established on July 27, 2018, and has plans to launch within the next couple of months for my first spring/summer collection. Fully Clothed specializes in affordable women’s apparel created for all styles and for all body types. I plan to expand my brand and will include shoes, jewelry, and handbags later down the line.

Fully Clothed is a brand that promotes helping women view themselves as beautiful, valued, and fearless in not only who they are, but in what they wear. What we are known for and what sets us apart from others is that we are seeking to increase a woman’s self-worth, self-love, and self- confidence in herself by helping her learn to unapologetically embrace her flaws and also maintain purity and dignity in the way that she dresses. As a company, I am most proud that I get to help so many different women develop more confidence within themselves.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career was receiving the final copy of my logo. Before I had an official business license and became an official LLC, I visualized my logo in a dream and sketched it out on my phone and I tried to recreate it but it wasn’t a success. I ended up hiring a graphic designer, but I was discouraged because she had a hard time bringing the vision I had for my logo to life. After several revisions and failed attempts, she finally got my logo to look exactly how I saw it in my dream. I was beyond happy because seeing my logo placed on boxes, bags, and business cards made my dream surreal because what I envisioned was now a reality.
