Meet Andrea Myles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Myles.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. I moved to Atlanta in 2013 in pursuit of an acting career. I didn’t know where to start so I went through a lot of hang-ups before I found Premiere Actors Network in Decatur ran by Dwayne Boyd. That’s where it all began. That’s where I learned what I know now. I worked my craft and learned so much from him and my peers.

I’ve been in my career for seven years now and in 2018 I booked my first ever role on national television recurring as Rhonda on Queen Sugar season 3. It was surreal being on Queen Sugar and I loved every second of it.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has been a rough road. I’ve had more struggles than I can count. I’ve been scammed so many times before I found my first acting class. I’ve lost money, been broke and lost. But I count them all as lessons because if it wasn’t for those rough times, I wouldn’t be the person that I am today and I wouldn’t know as much as I know now about this industry.

Please tell us about Andrea Myles.
I’m most proud of my tenacity. No matter what comes against me, I always try my best to push through. It’s definitely easier said than done and to be 100% honest, I still struggle because being an artist is not easy. I’m told no on a daily basis but you have to keep going; all you need is one yes.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My 6th birthday! My mom threw me a party at Chuck-E-Cheese and it was SO much fun!! I just remember the ball pit and running around with my friends. I also remember how good that cake was! They had the best cake back in the 90’s lol!
